George S . Erskine -Professional Services -Nov , Dec $ 235 , 51,
There was a question as to what the Erskine bill consisted of,
Manager Harden advised it consisted of survey for a financial
backing of a Club House aLt the Golf Course. The board advised
the Club House should be dropped at the present time.
Mr. McIver asked that the bills be read aloud for the benefit of
the people present. Director Edmunds read the bills.
It was moved by Director Horman and second by Director Kielhofer
all bills be paid except Haney & Meyer, Well drilling$11,236.53,
Nevada Tank and Casing- $3, 362.88 and Preston L. Wright -Pipe,
$300.00. (Breakdown Pages 328-329)
Mr. Saarni, U. S . Forest Service, appeared before the board
relative to cthe exchange of land 7�Ldj scent_ to._FBred;t-S4tri�e -..office{5.1
for Forest Service land adjoining the Golf Course (6 Acres) acris
Mr, Saarni advised the exchange would be made on value for value
basis. Discussion was held on McGlashan land, located at the Mc-
Glashan Spring Site, as a possible exchange. Mr. Saarni was ad-
vised to check into the exchange with the stipulations the District
would maintain all water rights. There was some discussion on the
Districts obtaining a special use program on land until exchange
could be made. Mr. Saarni will report on same.
Mr. E. J. Hintz appeared before the board relative to overtime pay.
Due to two Directors being absent the board asked his permission
to hold discussion of same over until the ne4t :. regul ar board meeting.
It was so granted.
.Mr. Hoffman of the Tahoe Truckee Insurance Agency appeared before
�— the board. He advised all equipment in Warehouse and pump houses had b
}
been inventoried and is covered under a blanket policy for fire,
_ explosion, car damage, vandalism and wind storm. Property valued
at $85,200.00 Policy coverage $77,000.00 Policy Premium $309.00 per
year. He advised he had a full list of equipment covered filed in
his office. The board advised he present the bill to the office for
payment.
Correspondence was read under dale of December 28, 1960 from George
S. Erskine, relative to the contacting of firms for thier con-
sideration of a lease purchase arrangement with the District, for
the donstruction of Club House, The board advised Mr. Erskine be
thanked for his information and time and be advised to drop matter'
Board will advise for further service .
An estimate was presented from Fairbanks Morse, covering a 15 HP pump,
for use at new well developed at South Side Springs. The board felt
a test should be made of the water for usage and a test pump should
be obtained and a test made for one week for gallonage . ' This should
be done before going into the expense of pump. It was so ordered.
There being no further business the meeting was-"..ajourned.

Truckee, California
January 31, 1961
The Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility District met in
a regular meeting at the office of the District on Main Street at
8:20 PM.
Upon roll call the following Directors were noted present: Edmunds
Horman, Kielhofer, King and Russell
Also present: Ed Holtz, Dave Vieu, Tom Hoffman, Bud Fulcher, Eve Hallett,
Robert McKinnon, Jack Ellis, Mr.S C. R. Carroll, Mrs. Edmunds, Harry
Stout.
It was moved by Director Edmund and second by Director Kielhofer the
minutes be read aloud.
Chairman King requested extra copies of minutes be made for distribution,
He then read the minutes of January 10, 1961.
Some discussion was held on the George Erskine bill of $ 235 , 51. The
board was advised it was for a survey for a financial backing of a
club house at the golf, course.
Mr. Hoffman requested the minutes be corrected to read: The board
advised the decision on the blanket fire policy be held over until
Director Russell is present to pass on same.
It was moved by Director Edmunds and second by Director Kielhofer the
minutes of the meeting of January 10, 1961, be accepted with the above
noted correction. Motion carried.
Discussion was held on bills presented to them for Wilbur Bell.
It was moved by Director Horman and second by Director Edmunds all
bills be forwarded to Mr. Bell for payment except Texaco Company bill,,
return to Company advising a stop had been put on credit card and would
appreciate them collecting from Mr. Bell. Motion carried*
The following bills were gone over and discussed. Meyer Drilling Co .-
$3 , 236.53 . The contract called for a well to be dug 500 feet deep with
a 14" hole. The board felt the total bill excessive,
It was moved by Director Horman and second by Director Edmunds the
contract and copy of bill be sent to Paul Chamberlain for his advice
as to legality of the District refusing payment for all work done over and
above contract agreement and up to what amount the District is 1 ible .
It was so carried.
Nevada Tank and Casing - $3, 362.88 It was moved by Director Russell and
second by Director H rman a letter be written to Nevada Tank and Casing
advising the District was short of funds and an extension would be
appreciated, It was so carried.
