Chairman King - opened the meeting • and' the .mAnutes of the meeting on Sept 12 were ,read by the Manager. Director Hor aan moved that the minutes be accepted, seconded by Director Edmunds and Carried. Manager informed the Board he had received a letter from the Travelers' Shopping Guid6, Inc., -stating they had already printed the advertising before our letter of refukal came so the - District .has a years free advertising for the Golf. Truckee Fire District Agreement: After perusal of the re -written agreement between the Fire District and Utility District it was moved by Director Edmunds # seconded by Director Horman-that the Agreement be adopted in principle and sent to Chamberlain for any necessary corrections* Motion carried., 092 Sept 26, cont. Olympic Heights: Manager read a letter dated Sept. 16 from Mr. Wright enclosing a Bill of Sale covering water lines in Olympic Heights _ subd iv is ion in Unit # 2 . Manager was instructed to secure from Mr. Wright a letter granting easements, ingress, egress, under, over and ..above all roads within subdiv is ion unit # 2 al so- wherever the tern personal property is used to . substitute "real and/or personal property" eliminating any question as to title to - pipe buried beneath the surface, Water Storage Tanks: Manager read bids submitted for cleaning and painting steel tanks, A bid.. from Bill Reid, Sacramento dated Sept 22 for $3,187 , 00, Bid from.Pittsburg Tank & Tower Co, Kansas . for $1 *467.90 but this bid does not. include paint. for the outside'. of tankks or repairs on inside if needed,. Manager was instructed . to make- a further _inspection to see if the life of tanks would warrant the ex- penditure. GOLF COURSE; Manager informed the Board that Pro Mr. DeLuca. had re'®sted.. lowering of the green fees to promote more play . He felt more participation would mean more advertising. It was moved by Director Edmunds that the green fees for the remainder - of this season only be reduced to $ 2.50, seconded by Director Horman and carried. Needed work on the fairways consists of the following, 1. Remove rocks on # 1,2 & 4 f airways . 2. Close road on North side of # 1 fairway and plant grass seed. 3 . Fake fill in low spot on # 3 4. 15 yards of top soil is needed imediately for top. dressing. 5 . Fertilizer will be needed but none will be ordered - until present supply is exhausted, approximate cost for all $2,400.00 It was moved by Director Edmunds an expenditure for $ 7 5.00 be authorized for 15 yards of top_ soil;, seconded by Director Horman and carried,, Sierra Pacific Power Co: Manager read a letterdated , Sept lit wherein they requested a meeting with the full Board to discuss two proposals. In reply to the Managers letter a letter dated Sept 22 confirmed a joint meeting to..be held Oct .. _10 at 7 : 00 P . M. ..Manager was instructed to notify the paper extending a general invitation to the public* Van sickle: Manager informed the Board of Mr. Van Sickles request, for. land from the District for a road into..his...and.
