HomeMy WebLinkAbout1961-12-12 Min - Board417 A Regular meeting of the Board of Directors was convened at the office of the District on Main St. at 8 : 00 P . M. , December 12, 1961. The following Directors were noted present, Chairman B. King, C . Edmunds, J . McIver, D . Horman . Absent: P . Greenhouse. Also present: Mrs. C. Edmunds, Gerry Lewis, Manager Longo and Eve Hallett, Sec'y,, Manager Longo read the minutes of the meeting November 28th . Director r"7 Edmunds stated that in his opinion Chamberlain & Chamberlain were well qualified to act as attorneys in acquiring an allocation of Power. Additional corrections were: Mr. DeVore is :engineer for Sierra Pacific Power Co. and not counsel and the date of the Managers meeting in Sacramento was the 20th and not the 16th . With the above noted corrections it was moved . by Director McIver that the 'minutes be approved as read, seconded by Director Edmunds and carried. WATER DEPT. Director McIver moved that all bills listed be paid except Sierra Construction Co, and they are to be paid $450.00 leaving a balance of $453.25, seconded by Director Horman and carried. RECREATION DEPT, Director McIver moved that all bills listed for payment be tabled until the first meeting in January, seconded by Director Horman and carried . Season Green Fees at Golf Course - Manager reported that inquiries had been made concerning the Green Fees for 1962. If purchased now can be given for a Christmas present. After discussion it was moved by Director Horman that the Green fees for 1962 be the same - $125 , 00 for family and 75.00 for individual, seconded by Director McIver and carried. At this time the Manager was instructed to find out from Straine if it would be better to audit the Golf Course books on a calandar year. Gerry Lewis - Mr. Lewis presented the Board with two quit claim deeds. One is for the well parcel containing area of .008 and one for the pump house parcel containing area of .015. The Board concurred that these deeds are acceptable. The changes noted are: In the original transaction pump sites were 200 x 200 feet, in lieu of this District agrees to accept well and land at West end, Recorders No and land at East end Recorders No and also release the restrictions of 200 x 200 feet on land purchased in 1953. Mr. Lewis also requested permission from the District for the release of one acre of land in the 54 acres the District holds in a Deed of -Trust, In laying Out the roads it enroached over one acre of land owned by Donner - Land U. S . A,, consequently Mr. Lewis will exchange the one acre the District releases to Donnerl anct . Mr. Lewis stated the the foregoing involves two separate transactions, Director McIver moved that Mr. Lewis furnish - the District , for examination, a copy of instructions as sent to the Title Co. and action be held over to next meeting, seconded by Director Edmunds and carried, The Manager instructed Mr. Lewis that the water mains are not ex- tended to the wells and the concrete apron at Clear Creek is not yet in l place. Customer complaints for September, October and November were presented to the Directors. In checking over the lists a substantial expense was noted for installing 2 poles and raising service lines to permit Mr. Dumas to build a garage and apartment.
