Martin, The Bp and not having a permanent Ch airman, it was moved by,, Director McIver that Director Edmunds be Acting Chairman, Second- ed by Director Greenhouse and carried, - Acting Chairman Edmunds called the meeting to order at 8 : 05 P . M. an& with the approval of the Board deferred the reading of the. minutes and bills_ to a later position on the Agenda,, r t Mr. Dnttweiler of Prosser Lake properties asked that he be taken from the. Agenda because his inquiries could be answered -by the Manager . Mr. R. Co Martin appeared before the Board representing Mrs. Eve Popov itb on the land at Donner Trail covered by. Opt ion... He presented a tenative map of streets, utility locations, etc, and stated before a final map could be submitted ..it must be passed on by the Planning Commission. The Board requested Manager to �..,, work out .the location fora water tank, see that their road joins with the District .road and his report will govern future Board action. Manager stated that no agreement had been received from Mr. Moroai. Mr. Martin thanked the Board and left. Manager read letter from Mr. Bayliss offering $ 27 , 000.00 for all , land at "X" or if the District retains a 140 .. foot area $18, 000.00 or .$20, 000.00: for 250 feet from the NE corner to the rear of the lot. Director McIver moved Mr . Bayliss be notified the District is not interested in his proposal, seconded by Director Greenhouse and carried. Manager reported the application for a loan from R. E. A. had been. completed. Manager also read letter dated May 2, 1962 by Congressman Johnson directed to Secretary of Interior Udall re- questing assistance for wheeling. He also reported that Acting Chairman Edmunds had composed a letter to the Secretary of the - Interior and copies had been sent to -Congressman Johnson, Attorney McDonough, F. E .Dominy 7 H. P Dugan of the Bureau of 1 Rec1 amat ion The time being 8:30 Acting Chairman Edmunds called for the opening of bids on the Golf Course. Three bids were submitted: l . Mr. Pat J. O' Melia, Whittier, California r 115 year . lease with option to purchase, lease payment $4, Q00.00 per year, payable. semi annually after initial payment of $4 , 000 , 00 , Option to purchase for $127 , 50.0.00 - $ 20, 000.00 cash down at exercise of option, balance payable $5, 000.00 per year or, more with interest at 5;f/o. It was moved by Director* McIver that 11 bills listed in the Water dept be paid, seconded by Director Horman and carried. Director McIver moved that- all bills- listed in Recreation Dept - be paid, except Pacific Telephone, by the transfer of $900.00 from the Water dept to Recreation dept, seconded by Director Horman and carried. Mrs. Owens appeared before the Board and stated she thought it very unfair of the District to disconnect services of cus- tomers who were away on vacation and had neglected to pay them ball before leaving. Dr. Tapia appeared before • the Board requesting, the use of , the Directors room for future meetings by the Recreation District. D . M . , thence from the point of beginning along the South line of the Northeast one quarter of said section 14, S880 o4' 2611W 1,183.73 feet to its intersection with the northeasterly line of the County Road from Brockway to Truckee; thence along the Northeasterly line of the road, N580 29 'W 1,713.22 feet; thence leaving the road, N200 31' 40"W 471.52 feet; thence N310 31'E 110.00 feet; thence S580 29'E 132.81 feet to the West line of the Northeast one quarter of Section 14; thence along the west line, SOo 39' 43 "W 36.35 feet to the Northwest corner of the South one half of the Northeast one quarter of Section 14: thence along the North line of the South one half of the Northeast one quarter, N890 17 ' 33 "E 2,640.11 feet to the Northeast corner of the South one half of the Northeast one quarter; thence along the East line of the Northeast one quarter, SOo o3' 25"W 1,317.76 feet to the point of beginning. Subject to existing easements and rights of way of record. and WHEREAS : Truckee Public Utility District later constructed a Golf course upon said property, and WHEREAS: The experience of that District has been that said Golf course was uneconomical for said District to oper- ate as a Golf course or as any recreation facility, and, WHEREAS: The Board of Directors of said District believe that • said property is unnecessary for any of the purposes or functions of said District, NOW-TMREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the property described above is no longer necessary or useful to Truckee Public Utility District, and that it is for the best interests of said District that said property be rented, leased or sold, if a contract to do any of those things with said property may be had at compensation adequate to said District.
