Manager requested approval of $50.00 for postage and it was moved by Director McIver, seconded by Director Horman and carried that the $50.00,,postage expenditure be - approved... Manager read letter dated June 21, from Attorney kcDonough relative to charges for his services and including a statement of charges. Moved by Director McIver, seconded by Director Greenhouse s and carried it be laid over to -next meeting. Manager also pres- ented dues due from C.M.U.A and A,►W.W.A. Acting chairman Edmunds requested the Board to defer ,action to next meeting. -Mrs. Eve Popovich appeared before the Board relative to the Proposed Agreement. Manager had sent copies of the proposed Agree- ment as drawn up by District Attorney Berliner to the Directors previous to the meeting and after discussion the following changes were made by unanimous approval 1. Para 2 add "and , the use - of all cooking and water heating appliances shall be exxlusively electrical until January 10 1987. 2., Para 4 add " upon approval and filing of , final map" also, year chahge January ,1, 1965 extended to January 1, 1968, And January 1, 1966 extended to January 1, 1970. Also add "the sum of $ 20.00 per mmonth, "per lot". The Board requested that the proposed Agreement be.retyped-and.a copy sent to District Attorneys office, copies to each Director to be read as soon as possible and if no further corrections are submitted to the Manager the following Resolution be adopted: RESOLUTION #6209 - Now therefore, be it resolved that the/ Truckee Publ ic.. Util ity D�Lstrict enter into this Agreement with Eve Popovich concluding the sale of this 40i acres of land - in accordance and terms of the Agreement. Passed by the Board upon approval and filing of final map by the following roll call vote: Ayes: McIver, Greenhouse, Horman, Edmunds Noes: None Absent: None. Mrs Popovich thanked the Board and left the meeting. ND L+J Minutes, June 26, cont. Mr. Harry Stout, acting as agent for the Bear River Lumber Ct5. , appeared before the Board relative to future Board action on the proposed timber s ale . Manager reported he had checked with Forest Service. Board agreed tha �62, 000 feet of board timber, more or .less , be retained around Band it was moved by Director McIver, that the timber , on Section-8 & 9, as described, be put up on block bid and cut to a State Forestry standards and District, reserves the right to refuse any and -,all bids, seconded by Director Horman and carried unanimously. Mr, Stout thanked the Board and left the meeting. y - Manager read letter,, -dated June 15, from District Attorney' s office written by Mr. Wolters, Deputy, to G. E. Lewis relative to the withdrawel of funds on Time Deposit. Manager read letter from Mr . - G . E . Lewis,, dated June 26, directed to. the Board wherein he gave his interpetation of the essence of the meeting held in Nevada City, June 25, with Mr. Wolters, Deputy, Mr. J. McIver-, Director , Mr. Longo , and Mr. Lewis, He requested that $10,-000.00 be used to pay for work completed and District retain $5,000.00. Moved by Director McIver the Manager be instructed to write Mr. Lewis informing him the District would not serve any customers through the water main in its present condition, they must be complete, accepted and a bill of sale delivered to the District prior to service being rendered and no' -further release of funds will be made, seconded by Director greenhouse and carried., Manager was also instructed to write to Harker and . Harker asking i f - the had entered - into an agreement with Mr . Lewis and { if so indioate time of completion. Manager reported Mr. -Jack Ellis had purchased the Apl ine Riverside Hotel and being an old customer of the District felt he should not have to put up the $15 0.00 deposit as required, Board instructed Manager to inform Mr. Ellis it was the policy of the District and must be adhered '- to . Manager reported the selection of a firm for the annual audit was necessary. After discussion Director McIver moved that the firm of H. M. Straine & Sons be authorized to do the final audit and after June 30 they - .no longer be retained ou a monthly basis , seconded by Director Greenhouse and , c arried , Unfinished business: A. Mr. Richard Joseph: No report. Substation: Manager reported- Mr-'. Hoge of George S. Erskine Engineers would be in the office June ' 29 at 10: 00 A, ' M. and re- quested the presence of the Directors for further discussion. , Bureau of Reclamation: No% further word from Bureau but Manager read letter, dated June 21,. from Attorney McDonough to Bureau relative to wheeling by PG&E. R . E . A: No further word. r- Minutes, June 26, cont. Golf Course: No further word on Lease/purchase Agreement, Mr. Jensen had been in and felt they should be charged for electricity at the same rate the District had been charged. 244. per KW. Manager was directed to writt Mr.. Jensen informing -him the District had used the, interdepartmental rate and no special rate could be granted, the Board felt it would be discriminating, and some saving could be effected by putting the heating at the Clubhouse on- a separate meter,* Proposal to Airport District: Manager reported Mr. Houl4jate had indicated that he felt the area the District had specified was too large, they would consider a 25' x 25' area with an ease- ment for the balance of the 1001 x 100' area. Further discussion tabled until word was received from the Airport .District. Sierra Bible Ch apel : No report, 1 Co S . Beavers: Bid on land at South side of Brockway Road . Mr. Beavers lead contacted Manager the day following the meeting and withdrawn his proposal on the 20 acres and would submit a different proposal at a future date. Salary increase: Moved by Director McIver the Manager be granted a $ 5 0.00 a month salary increase from $ 7 00.00 to $ 7 5 0.00 per month beginning quly 10 1962, seconded by Director Hoxman and carried, Hal Welch: St. Louis Cafe - No further payment since Jan- uary. Hilltop Lodge: No action on`$1,000.00 due on personal property. Manager reported a bid for $2,184.00 had been received from Mr. M. King for work on Riverside Drive, Discussion ensued on connecting the repair line to E. River St eliminating dead ends, but no action taken. Manager read letter, dated June 22, from District Attorney Berliner relative to Lease/purchase agreement with Mr. Jensen & Mr. Stewart. r There being no further business, meeting adjourned at 11: 4 0 P, M.
