Manager Longo advised only inadequate maps were available and the Division of Highways will -furnish maps at an early date . Manager Longo advised Mr. Pfeifer and Mr. Lewis of Deerfield Village had advised they would bring a map in showing locations of street lights desired. At this date they have not done so. Chairman Edmunds expressed his concern over the financial position r--, of the District and urged all concerned to take notice. There being no further business to bring before the board the meet- ing was ajourned at 4:15 PM. Cecil Edmunds, Chairman Patsy Tonini, Acting Redording Sec'y. Truckee, California February 12, 1963 The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility District met in a regular meeting at the off ice of the District on Main Street, at 7:00 PM. Upon roll call the following Directors were noted present: C. Edmund, J. McIver, P. H. Greenhouse Absent: Do Horman and E . Aweeka Also Present: Fe Longo, P . Tonini, Mrs Cecil Edmunds and Paul V anVl iet Director Horman arrived at 7:20 and Director Aweeka at 7:55. The minutes of January 29, 1963 were read. Director McIver advised the Ice Palace Property mentioned was actually called the Ski Jump property. With the mentioned correction the minutes were approved as read. The following statement of bank balances and bills paid and due were presented to the board for approval. It was so carried. Manager Longo advised Mr. Topie of Burney Lumber Company was consid- ering installing Diesel to provide power to mill. A tabulation of billings for the past twelve months was presented showing average cost per KW hr to be .0195. Mr. Topel alleged cost per KW hr by Diesel generation would be about 9 mills. Manager stated this 9 mill figure would not include amortization of diesel installation Chairman Edmunds requested the Manager to obtain data from Fair-' banks Morse establishing cost of Diesel installation and generation charges. Correspondence was read under date of January 31st from Sierra Pacific Power Company, Fred L. Fletcher, President relative to the Districts appeal for a 7'y'/ discount. Board advised matter be layed on table. Correspondence was read under date of February 9th, a copy of letter sent to Joseph Sachs, Esq, written by MaxUn McDonough advising the legal opinion relative to the Districts qualifications to borrow REQ funds without holding election and collateral to be provided for the loan. Correspondence was read under date of January 30th, from Congress- man Bizz Johnson stating he had been checking with REA regarding the Districts application. Manager Longo advised the Department of Health, not having a permanent sanitarian in the area at the present time, is no longer taking the Districts water samples and the contract with the Health Department has run out. He advised he had contacted several labs for thier cost of taking samples, The board advised he contact Dr. Cox and the Nevada County Board of Supervisors requesting the County renew contract and continue taking samples. Ordinance 63-01 was read. Board requested it be rayed over, action to be taken at a later date . Manager Longo advised a letter has been written to Mr. Butch Beavers requesting him to contact office = But no answer has been received. Minutes February 12, 1963 Continued HHFA has requested the District obtain the legal advise required by the Attorneys office. It was announced the office now has copies of the Highway Department maps, There being no further business to be brought before the board the meeting was aj ourned at 9 :15 PM.
