December 10, 1963
The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility
District met in a regular meeting at the office of the District on
Main Street at 7:00 P.M.
Upon roll call the following Directors were noted present.
Aweeka, McIver, Kaspian, Spillner
Also present: F. Longo, M.Midyett Guests: Mr. Dick Small
Mr, Ignatius F irpo was appointed Director by unamious agreement of
the Board of Directors.
The minutes of November 26, 1963 were read and approved.
The minutes of December 4, 1963, Special Meeting , read and approved.
The minutes of December 7, 1963, Special Meeting, read and approved.
At this time Manager Longo briefed Director F irpo on Stampede and
REA .
Mr. Small appeared before the Board and inquired as to the progress
the District had made in getting power to Prosser Lake Heights.
Manager advised the clearing had started and the poles would be
shipped December llth . Manager stated he had talked to Mr. Schenk
and advised him not to , intall the pump until the poles were in.
Manager advised weather permitting themwould be power at Pposser
Heights fifteen to twenty days after the clearing had been completed.
Manager stated there -had been delays due to finances and negotiations
with Mr. Sanders, Manager advised he now had a written agreement with
Mr. Sanders and it wouldn't be too much longer before there would be
power .at Prosser Heights. Mr. Small thanked the Board for their time
and left the meeting.

presented to the board for approval

Bills for - approval to include $74.22 expenses for Tim Best. Manager
was given authorization to pay Sierra Pacific' s bill in the amount
of $10, 794.68 .

water bills paid and the bills for boards approval be paid as listed.

Manager reported Dave Vieu was in the hospital with his back again.
The Board suggested manager check on note written by Dr, Gilmore.
Manager advised John Elliott had been laid off and he had another
man in mind.
Director Kaspian felt there was an awful lot -of breakdowns in the
District equipment and requested manager to make a list of all
equipment and repAirs . Disuess-ion enused inregards to a car for
manager*
It was moved by Director McIver and second by Director Kaspian the
next regular meeting be set for December 30, 1963 @ 7:00 P.M.
Managers Report
Manager reported Mr, Erickson phoned and notice is out.
Manager stated he had talked to Mr. Berliner' s office and was advised
the 30 day notice had been mailed to Eve Popov ich .
H.H.F.A.- Manager read letter dated December 4, 1963 inregards to an
Agreement for Public Works Plan Preparation. After a discussion the
manager was instructed to advise H.H.F.A. at this time the study is
not considered desirable.
Letter from Mr. Erskine read by manager requesting corrections in the
minutes of November 26, 1963. It was the agreement of the Board the
corrections not be included as the minutes were satisfactory as far as
the Board recalled.'
Manager advised he had talked to Mr, Hauck and was advised the
engineers had been misinformed and that the District could build the
sub -station if they wanted to.
A discussion ensued concerning an attorney for the District and Director
Kaspian suggested Mr. Wetherall in Nevada City, The Board suggested
Mr. Wetherall be invited to the next meeting,
Manager requested authorization to hang Christmas Trees. Authorization
was so given.
There being no further business to be brought before the Board the
meeting was adjourned at 9:10 P.M.
