Upon roll call the following Directors were noted present: Aweeka, Firpo, Doyle, Rose, Fink Absent: None Also present: Longo, Midyett Guests: Tim Best, Manley Haltom George Cattan The minutes of November 10, 1964 read. Director Doyle advised Mac. Atcheson from Sierra Pacific attended the November 4th meeting, not Mr . Atkinson . With the mentioned correction the minutes were approved as read . The following statement of bank balances, bills paid and bills due were presented to the board for approval. So carried,, Resolution 6419 presented to board for consideration. Discussion ensued as to-w6ther the resolution should be put in the paper . Director Firpo and Chairman Aweeka felt the people should know what -the District is doing. Director Fink asked if the entire resolution had to be printed . Manager advised he did not think so, but would give the matter consideration and write something up and let the Directors read it before putting it in the paper* Moved by Director Doyle and seconded by Director Fink, Resolution 6419 be adopted. . Passed and adopted by the following roll call vote: Ayes: Aweeka, Firpo, Rose, Fink, Doyle Nones: None Absent: None Manager read letter from Mr. Heindrick dated November 23 , 1964 to Martin McDonough advising his fee of $6, 500.00 to prepare data for PUC hearing. Manager, asked George Cattan what he thought of Heindricks letter. Cattan advised this was something to be studied quite well and felt the fee too high. Manager advised Heindricks fee could be }r Minutes November 24, 1964 Continued more or it could be less* Manager felt Heindrick should be the engineer to go before the PUC as Attorney McDonough recommended,, him . and has worked with him the past. Manager advised he met with CMUA and they will supply the District With money or share in expense or help withr legAl briefs. Further discussion ensued regarding Heindricks fee and it was the agreement of the board that Mr. Hehdrick represent the district. Manager advised he would notify Attorney McDonough of the boards decision-*" RAILROAD CONTRACT: Manager read contract for mire Line Crossing. Moved by Director Doyle and seconded by Director Firpo manager be given authorization to sign the Southern Pacific License Agreement. So carried. Manager reported there would be a cut back in employment* Ramirez and Duffer to be layed off. The, work at the sub -station was going to be cut down and Haltom and Tramley could handle any work done this winter, George Cattan advised the sub --station could be finished by , December, but felt it advisable .not to entergize the sub -station until April of 965 as there would be ' a lone o f around $'l , 200 o OO if entergized before then. In view of the reduction of work on the. sub -station George Cattan proposed coming_to.Truckee one day every three weeks* The cost of each trip would be $ 270.00 which would . be a considerable savings to the District* Cattan will prepare all prints necessary at home. After consideration manager was instruct6d to write letter to Cattan approvinghis proposal. Cattan advised material for line conversion and extension for sub- station should be ordered the 1st week of March in order to -start -- work the lst of April. Cattan also advised he would like to meet with Wilsey, Ham and Blair. Manager stated this could be arranged. Discussion ensued concerning PG&E wheeling and pot&ntial customers if cheap power is.obtained and line built to the summit. Manager read Bulletin dated. November 12 , 1964 from Mr oWoods office* WATER: Manager reported 13 tress have been felled and cut at McGlashons. Manager advised there would be another week of cleaning and Karl will haul out ^ the wood at no charge* Manager stated he has permission from the Forest Service to block the road. _ Director Fi rpo reported David view was in to see him and requested his signature on a petition to get his job back at the Utility District. Director Doyle reported he had a -complaint of a TV burning up due to low voltage. N Manager advised this could only happen when voltage was high. Sawdust from Topol' s Mill discussed.
