Motion carried. SHANE BROTHERS requested right of way across land belonging to District on the east side of the Brockway Shortcut, north of the Golf Course and south of the property being developed by the Recreation District. Maps of the area in question, and adjoining properties were studied. Disc cuss ion followed on various aspects of the request* such as, the amount of fill needed to build a road across our low lying property; the possible repercutions from other land purchasers in, _the area; the advisability of ending the right of way at the Shane property rather than extending it far enough to join with the present road behind the Golf Course, and therby opening its use to all land owners beyond the Shane property. Due to the complex nature of the questions and Shane Brother's reluctance to have the right of way extend beyond their property, the Board instructed the Manager to get a legal opinion from our attorney. Also, he is to check with both the Sanitary District and the Recreation Distract regarding property boundaries and recent survey maps of this area, 42 Minutes June 1, 1965 Continued DERROLD DALY appeared before the Board on a request for lease of property adjacent to the pump house on the southwest side of the Brockway Shortcut, to use for horse pasture. Requirements of the District for lease of property for pasture use were explained to Mr. Daly. Board had no objections to Mr. Daly leasing out additional grazing rights, and set the price at $10.00 per month per horse. Mr. Daly was not interested at the price quoted, but Directors prefer not to lease on heavily traveled highway because of legal responsibility. SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY CONTRACT presented granting us a leased right of.way across their tracks and property east of SSR 89, north and west of Ray .Mac Planing Mill, for an initial cost of $25,00, and a yearly rental of $20.00 beginning . June 1, 1965. Director Fink made. a motion, seconded by Director Firpo, to adopt RESOLUTION #6514, authorizing acceptance - and signature on contract, and allowing payment of $45.00 to cover initial cost and first year's rental.
