The $ 98 01.01 item, money due Sanford Tractor for the purchase of our new aerial ladder truck, is to be financed through the Truckee Branch of America at 4/ interest on the same lease - purchase agreement as our recently financed backhoe. Water overflowing and being wasted 24 hours per day from Schaeffer Tank on Hilltop (Ski Tow Hill) . Manager advises that we should try to pump excess to tank on top, and. use: overflow. Wishes to install big 410,000 gallon tank on top before developing - Sheep- herder Springs. New Subdivisions, airport, recreation area, and proposed commercial developments on Shortcut will need water soon. Big tank will integrate water supplies and benefit town water- supply . Manager is to get estimates for sandblasting, painting and installing big tank already owned by District and report at next meeting. 3 • ' Sheepherder Springs must be partially developed and some of the water put to use before 1966 or District will lose water rights, Problem will be in financing. Directors to look over property personnaly if possible before next meeting. Cost of development estimated at approximately $55, 000.00, including 5h miles of six inch pipe at about $1.25 per foot. 4. Topal Fire Protection Project - No pipe ordered yet, but about - ready to go to work. RECREATION DISTRICT REPORT - Randy Bobby, Director, appeared before the Board to exhibit a map showing the approximate 15 acres wanted by the Recreation Department. Left choice commercial land fronting the highway to the District. Meeting with surveyor scheduled, Has been advised that the Title Company records show that the Sanitary District does own a portion of the Brockway Shortcut property, and that the county records are not up to date on public property. Has cleared water rights problem and consulted -with Shane Bros. Have begun using water from 2 " line to irrigate ball diamond' and request meter connection. Will contact us again after survey completed. ARREARS LIST - Studied and discussed.
