The membets of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility
District met in a regular meeting at the office of the District on Main
Street at 7:30 P.M.
Meeting called to order by Chairman Aweeka. Upon roll call the following
Directors were noted present.
0"m- ,Aweeka, Firpo, Rose, Fink. Director Doyle arrived shortly thereafter.

RESOLUTION # 6 518
BE IT RESOLVED:
By the, Board of Directors of Truckee Public Utility
District, that an easement be. granted the County of Nevada
for the construction, reconstruction, maintenance and repair
of storm drains and appurtenances, in, over, across and upon
that certain parcel of land, located in the County of Nevada,
State of California, and more particularly described as follows.:
Beginning at a point from which the Northwest
corner of the.Southeast quarter of the Northwest
quarter of Section 17, Township 17 North, Range
16 East bears North 89110' 05" East 1061.61 feet
along the North boundary of the Donner Park Vista
Subdivision as shown on the map of DONNER PARK
- SUBDIVISION, filed for record on July 12, 1951,
and recorded in Book 1 of Subd iv is ion Maps, at
page 98, official records of Nevada County Recorder,
County of Nevada, State of California; the point
of beginning being the northwest corner of a parcel
of land owned by the Truckee Public Utility District,
thence S 0°" 15' 55" W, 259.40 feet; thence N. 840
21' 30" E, 5.03 feet; thence N 015' 55" W, 253.88
feet; thence S89*iO ` 05" E, 5.28 feet; thence
N 0049' 55" E' 5.00 feet; thence N. 89' 10' 05" W,
10.28 feet; to the point of beginning.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman:: of said
Board of Directors and Clerk of said Board of Directors Are
hereby directed to sign on behalf of the Board, and the Clerk

PROSSER LAKEVIEW ESTATES -SUBDIVISION - DEEDS AND EASEMENTS FOR WATER
SYSTEM:
RESOLUTION #6519 - Accepting Easement from Prosser Lake Associates,
a partnership, to construct, erect, maintain and operate a water main
and power -line and grant rights of ingress and egress thereto, in the
Prosser Lakeview Estates Subdivision. Motion -by Director Fink, second
by Director Doyle that Resolution 6519 be - adopted, and that the Chairman
and Secretary of the Board be authorized- to sign in behalf of the District
Passed and adopted by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Aweeka, Firpo, Fink, Doyle
NOES: None
ABSTAINING: Rose
RESOLUTION-46520 - Accepting Deed from Prosser Lake Associates, a
partnership, to a parcel of land upon which a .water well and appurten-
ances shall be situated, and for other utility -purposes, in the Prosser
Lakeview Estates Subdivision. Motion by Director Fink, second by Dir.
Doyle that Resolution #6520 be adopted, and that the Chairman and Secre-
tary of the Board be authorized to sign on behalf of the Directors.
Passed and adopted by the -following roll call vote:
AYES: Aweeka, Firpo, Fink, Doyle
NOES: None - -
ABSTAINING: Rose
RESOLUTION #65 21- - Accepting Deed -from the Truckee Tahoe La -
Estates, Inc . , a corporation.. -granting title to a parcel of land upon
which a water storage tank and appurtenances shall be situated, and for -
other utility purposes, and rights of egress and ingress thereto,, -in
Prosser Lakeview Estates - Subdivis,ion. Motion by Director Fink, and
second by Director Doyle, that Resolution #65 21 be adopted, and that the
Chairman and Secretary of the Board be authorized to sign for the District.
Passed and adopted by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Aweeka, Firpo, Fink, Doyle
NOES: None
ABSTAINING: Rose
All of the above deeds -and easements - contain a reversion clause to
the subdividers in case the District does not , use or continue their use
for the purposes stated. Attorney Chamberlain has approved the in-
clusion of this clause, and the forms of all deeds accepted by above
resolutions
RAY MAC MILL SUBSTATION RIGHT OF WAY AND EASEMENTS:
RESOLUTION # 6522 Acceptance of easement from Richard Joseph,
conveying right to erect, construct and -maintain a power line, and
granting rights of egress and ingress thereto, across his property to
the site of the Ray Mac Mill . Motion for acceptance by Director Doyle,
second by Director Firpo, Passed and adopted by the following roll call
vote: AYES: Aweeka, Firpo, Rose, Fink, Doyle NOES: None
RESOLUTION #6523 - Acceptance of easement from Ray -Mac Planing Mill,
Inc., conveying right to erect, construct and maintain a power line, _
and granting rights of egress and ingress - thereto, across his property
at and near the site of the mill. Motion for acceptance and adoption of

Minutes October 5, 1965 Continued
MANAGER'S REPORT
1. Correspondence from Safeway Stores Inc* requesting that the
District cancel the floatinq easement for water and electric lines `s
across the property purchase from Dr. Ben King at the inter- '
section of SSR 89 and Emigrant Way, and that a - new easement be granted
along each side of the property instead. Manager recommended approval,
and suggested a five foot easement on each side of lot* Directors
,..,., approved and authorized Manager to advise Safeway by -letter to have
their attorneys prepare the necessary papers.\
2. Norman Brown, owner of the property desired for installation
of the new large water storage tank above the Ponderosa Palisades Sub-
division has been contacted. He requests that we make a survey and
plat of the site needed. Vail Engineering firm has quoted a price of
$ 25 0.00 for a survey; however, since site has previously been surveyed
a number of times, and some of these tracings may be available to the
District for less money, Manager was authorized to get further price
quotations and report back at next meeting,
3. Manager reports that John Ormond and Standard Transformer Co.
have not lived up to their delivery dates and are holding us up on the
installation of our transformers. Attorney advises that we can and
should invoke the penalty clause when we settle the account.
4. Meeting with all California R.E.A. borrowers in Fresno on the
15th `of October. Leading R.E.A. representatives will be present. Man-
ager wishes to attend, and feels that the ChairmAn of the Board should
also try `to attend. Directors in agreement,
5. Manager has meeting scheduled with Attorney Chamberlain on
October 7th, to discuss various matters, including the foreclosure on
the Leisure Lease past due note. Attorney feels that he may be able
to force payment without foreclosure, but that District should be aware
of the fact that they will have to take on responsibility for improve-
ment assessments if they do go ahead with foreclosure.
6.Sierra Pacific Power Company bill for purchased power for the
month of September 1965 has been projected at the proposed new rate
allowed under their contract - it would mean a saving of $ 739.74 for
the one month, if contract is accepted for signature and _ approval,
Information presented as a matter of information only for the consider-
ation of the Directors,
7. Sierra Pacific Power Company have worked together on the
Deerfield Subdivision electric project, and have completed their work
after pooling use of four new poles, and having use of one S .P .P .0 . pole
free of charge.
8. New transformers sand attachment to our District Substation

direct, haW been requested by Mr. Topal of Douglas Lumber ComPaW sRas iati on
to the District would be approximately $7000.00 for transformers/` but
would result in a saving on the demand charges _ now paid to Sierra
Pacific Power. Mr. Topal is agree -able to the Manager's proposal that he
guarantee a minimum of $1000.00 per month for sixty consecutive months.
Directors requested that Manager see if the cost of this connection
could be covered by R.E.A: funds, but authorized him to have Attorney
Chamberlain draw up a contract for Mr. Topal's approval. Manager also
advised that further expansion is indicated by the lumber industry in
the near future, and that additional charges of this kind might come
up again, when Fibreboard puts in proposed log peeler plant equipment.
MISCELLANEOUS: Directors discussed present pay day schedule, and gave
their approval to a suggestion that a three day period follow each pay
period in order to properly prepare the payroll and post it, and that
the pay day be 72 hours after the close of the payroll period,
Topal water installation discussed and metering of water
used for other than r f ire purposes explained by Director.
