AIRPORT STREET LIGHT - Andy Creglow, Manager for Truckee Tahoe Airport
District, appeared before the Board to request that a vapor street
light be installed at the intersection of Airport Road an6 Brockway
Shortcut -to correct a dangerous turn off and promote local business.
District has already set a precedent of putting up street lights
where need is demonstrated and is serving the Airport District
with electricity within the immediate vicinity of where light is needed.
Cost will run approximately $285.00 to District; permission must be
obtained from Placer County and Nevada County Road Departments, Director
Firpo made a motion, seconded by Director Rose, that street light be
installed at Airport Road intersection; carried and so ordered. How-
ever, Directors felt that Airport District should install a IlxkknA
sign directing travel toward the Airport at the lighted location.
Mr. Creglow promised to bring it to the attention of his Directors.
DOUGLAS LUMBER COMPANY - making plans to install machinery for their
moulding mill and will require an additional 1000 horsepower of
electric service. We can't handle with our present transformer bank -
will need a new transformer bank substation which can be tied into
Feeder No. 1: Cost to the District will be approximately $7500.00.
Mr . Topal will sign an Agreement for Sery ice under which he will pay
$1000.00 minimum billing for the next sixty consecutive months - to
be billed coincidentally with his other bill. This will return approxi-
mately $600000.00 to the District over the next five years* Project
can be financed under R.E.A., but must be ready within six weeks.
