types of wire, plus short supply because of Viet Nam situation,
Director Rose made a motion, seconded by Director Fink, that the bid
be awarded to Valley Electric Company at the prices quoted, and that
four additional reels of wire be ordered from same supplier at the
quoted prices if possible - carried and so ordered.
Report of Attorney McDonough's First Amended Complaint - Manager
presented information regarding Amended Complaint against P.G. & E.
by Attorney McDonough, who had incorporated the projected costs of
our XNU power purchases by applying the rates of P.G. & E. and
the Bureau of Reclamation to our 1965 purchases, as evidence of
the excessive charges.
Discussion of principle proposals presented by-R.E.A. officials -
General discussion held on possibility of building our own line
from Truckee to Donner S8m►it to connect with P.G. & E. line if
hearing ruling is in our favor. Manager Longo and Engineer Cattan
advised that plan was feasible and costs could be cut under present
estimates. Directors felt that nothing would be lost by planning
to go ahead on this project unless immediate rate reductions are
available. Standby power would be greatest yearly expense which
could be anticipated, if federal funds are made available to us to
build with.
Security Light Agreement between David W. Anderson of Prosser Lake
Heights and the District for one security light was accepted, and
signature of Chairman and Clerk authorized.
RESIGNATION of Director Fink - Director Fink submitted his written
resignation effective March 2, 1966 because he is moving to Auburn,
California, within the month, It was accepted with regrets by the
rest of the Directors*

Manager's Report
1. Conversion progressing steadily; recently converted
second short loop in Gateway Section, will change over High School
on weekend weather permitting, and then will continue through
Gateway -a it will be approximately three months before Gateway
Motel and Shopping Center can be converted because entire line
from Veterans Building in Truckee to Gateway must be rebuilt.
2. Water - New line pump has been purchased and installed
at Donner Creek Pump House* We are attempting to bring - water lines
and storage facilities closer to automation, in an attempt to
lower` labor overtime costs. New stainless steel lined barrel -must
be purchased and phone lines installed; may have automatic
pumping by July*
3. Prices quoted by Taylor Jett Inc. for plastic 4" line
pipe, stocked in 2000 feet reels is 9744. per foot, same price as
steel, but installation should be -cheaper because of the continuous
lengths which could be laid at one time .
Ad, I ournment : Motion `for adjournment by Director Rose, seconded
