April 4, 1967
The members of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Public Utility
District met in a regular meeting at the office of the District
on Main Street at 7:35 P.M.
At roll call the following Directors were noted present:
Aweeka, Firpo, Rose, Waters, Director Doyle arrived 7:45 P.M.
Guest: Mr. Olson representing the Sierra Sun
District employees present: Longo, Midyett, Cattan
Minutes of March 21, 1967 were approved as read subject to the
following correction: Spelling of Saunders should be - Sanders

Grievance -continued
committee composed of an impartial representative
and a representative of the District* Their finding
shall be final and binding. Grievance proceeding not
to exceed forty-eight hours,
The following to be added to each job classification:
Must have a valid California driver's license.
Other duties prescribed by District Manager.
The word max to replace shall under Lineman
classification.
Union dues will not be taken out as a payroll deduction.
The Union will not be recognized as a bargaining agent,
SERVICEMAN
1. Increase of 3'12'/
An increase of 3h'/ for all District employees- effective
May 1, 1967 .
MANAGERS REPORT
Conversion on west River Street nearly completed.
WATER DEPT .: Automation of Donner Trail Creek System around
the 15th of April.
Manager was instructed to give Leisure Lease 30 day notice
to remove their signs,
Director Rose asked if Manager had any information concerning
assessment similar to the Districts. Manager advised there
were only two he obtained information from, Roseville and
Fair Oaks Irrigation Dist. Roseville charges $800.00 per acre.
and collects at the time the maps are presented. Fair Oaks charges
around $600.00. Manager reported most of the systems are privately
owned and he was trying to find those similar to our District.
Manager was instructed to obtained about half a dozen even tho
some would be privately owned.
RADIO ADVERTISING
Discussion ensued and it was the agreement of the Board that the
District would advertise on the radio for three months, April,
May and June.
Land at "y" discussed and manager was given authorization to have
an appraisal made.
LIGHTING AT AIRPORT
Airport District would like District to install two lights at
the airport at Utility Dist. expense. Board instructed manager
to advise that when the Airport District installs lights at the
parking lot then their request would be re -considered.
There being no further business to be brought before the Board
motion made by Director staters seconded by Director Rose the
meeting be adjourned at 10 : 25 P.M.

paid and the bills for boards approval be paid as listed*
So carried.
WEST RIVER STREETLINE
A group of land owners along west river street consisting of the
following: Palo Alto Ski Club, Dave Walling, Vita Bark, Gebhart,
Preston and Northrup, requests that the District consider sponsor-
ing them under the 1915 Improvement Bond Act* If payments are
not met then the District would levy a 10(� tax on the entire
district. Manager was instruction to inform the group that the
Board did not want to incur an obligation on the people*
ONNER LAKE „STREET LIGHTING
Manager advised he has had inquiries as to street lighting at
Donner Lake and, was open for suggestions from the Board. There
should be 18 lights .installed along old Highway 40. The private
road on the north side of the lake has been put up for construction
and when completed will be turned over to the County. Street
lighting should be considered along this road.
RIVERSIDE ,DRIVE WATER LINE
260 feet of main to be installed from the west end of Eldon Tonini's
property to Bridge Street, The District has all the material
necessary for the line and as soon as the weather clears construction
will begin.
CHARLES TRAMLEY
Tramley will retire on the lst of May. Manager requested authorization
to take all District employees and directors to dinner. The
Directors felt this a thoughtful j esture and authorization was so
given.
_APPOINTMENTOF DIRECTORS
It was agreed by Director Firpo and Director Waters that Edward
Aweeka, Paul Doyle and Dave Rose be appointed to fill out the
balance of the year due to the election being changed to November 11

ANNUAL WAGE AGREEMENT
- The following corrections on the wage proposal were considered by
the Board of Directors:
Grievance: a. As the initial step in the adjustment of a
grievance the employee and/or shop steward or
other representative shall discuss the same with
the manager, Should the grievance still not be
settled to the satisfaction of the employee he
shall be granted a hearing by a joint grievance
