ROLL CALL: Rose, Loehr, Stone, Moore, Doyle. EMPLOYEES PRESENT: Cattan, Paulus, Bliss. Mr. Cattan explained that Schedules I, III and IV are the substation proper for the exception of the transformers. Schedule VI has no connection with the substa- tion except to regulate voltage on the two systems. Mr. Cattan recommends: SCHEDULE VI: Graybar Electric, lowest bid, $6,840. SCHEDULES I, III,IV: Consolidated Electric for $21,024.00. Although Graybar re gul at ors are the the ape s t, we cannot award them the bid because Consolidated will not accept part of the substation bid. Schedule I has to be purchased from an outside vendor. SCHEDULE I I: RTE transformers for $20,76 3 (REA approved) . Transformer specifications were compared. Maydwell & Hartzell did not submit losses. RTE losses on transformers are lowest. (Difference of 2 kw/hr, or $.50/day or $182/yr) Weight and amount of oil is good on RTE, who bids a firm price. Bid bond may be waived. PUD has been working with RTE for many years, and their transformers are acceptable to the other bidders. All of the materials in the substation are American made. The bid and contract for Schedules I, III and IV will be signed by Allis Chalmers and Consolidated Electric.
