All MARCH 1 , 1976 The Special Meeting of the Board of Directors was called to order by the Chairman at 7:35 P.M. in the Conference Room of the District. ROLL CALL: Waters, present; Sutton, present; Craig, absent at roll call but arrived approximately 7:40 P.M. ; Christensen, present; Anderson, present; EMPLOYEES PRESENT: Hobensack, Reed and Drace. OTHERS PRESENT See attached list of audience attendance for this meeting. PRESENTATION BY DART RESORTS AND DISCUSSION OF AVAILABLE ALTERNATIVES TO DART RESORTS IN RESOLVING THE LONG-TERM WATER SOURCE PROBLEMS AT TAHOE DONNER Adolph Moskovitz, attorney for Dart, summarized for the Board the 1970 and 1973 agreements between the District and Dart. In addition, as a back- ground to the discussion of the alternatives in seeking ground water he summarized various events, reports , agreements , etc. leading up to the present time related to Dart's search for ground water sources. John DeHorn, Cranmer Engineers , presented to the Board Plans A through H, Dart's alternatives to ground water sources. A copy of those plans as prepared by Cranmer Engineers are attached to these minutes for further reference. During the course of Mr. DeHorn's presentation Dr. John Sharp, hydro- logist for Dart, interjected his opinions regarding ground water availability in each of Dart' s Plans. Don Strand, project manager at Tahoe Donner, informed the Board where Dart now stands in proceeding with some of the alternatives to ground water. Mr. Strand noted that in addition to repairing the North Side Well pump the well will be increased to 1000 GPM. He indicated Dart will test °-- drill the Saunders site and the sales office site. If those test drills are successful wells will be drilled to those sites. Dart also kept open the Airport Well alternatives for 3 to 5 years. Dan Cook explained to the Board that under the 1970 Agreement with Dart, Dart can sell a maximum of 3700 1 ot5 .unti 1 the ultimate water source is determined and that until the Department of Real Estate lifts the Cease and Refrain Order issued to Dart, a copy of which is attached, sale of lots in Tahoe Donner is at a standti l l and the total water source is not necessary at this time. Following further discussion of Dart's alternatives to ground water, Director Waters moved that the meeting adjourn. Seconded by Director Christensen. ALL AYE BY VOICE VOTE. SO MOVED.
