HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-09-06 Min - Board SPECIAL MEETING SEPTEMBER 6, 1977 The Special Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District was called to order by the Chairperson at 7: 12 P.M. in the con- ference room of the District. ROLL CALL: Huber, present; Maass, present; Kuttel , present; Sutton, present. EMPLOYEES PRESENT: A. Milton Seymour OTHERS PRESENT: Don Strand. CONSIDERATION OF MATTERS RELATED TO ASSEMBLY BILL 2035 (CHAPPIE) "DONNER LAKE - PUMP INTAKES" Y The Board reviewed a letter written by the Chairperson to be presented to the Truckee Sanitary District Board of Directors following the adjournment of this meeting. The letter dealt with the Board's position on the Chappie A.B. 2035. The Board wished the letter be presented with the attachment of a letter from Mr. Seymour to Chappie dated September 2, 1977, informing Mr. Chappie of the Board's desire to have the bill withdrawn and the letter written by Director Sutton as Chairperson of the Board to the Truckee Fire Protection District dated September 6. Director Maass moved that the Board of Directors support the September 6, 1977, letter written by Mrs. Sutton as President of the Board to the Directors of the Truckee Sanitary District. Director Huber suggested and Director Maass incorporated in the motion the amendment to include support for the letter to the Truckee Fire Protection District delivered earlier today. The motion was seconded by Director Kuttel . ROLL CALL: Huber, aye; Maass, aye; Kuttel , aye; Sutton, aye. SO MOVED. The meeting was adjourned by the Chairperson by general consensus of the Board at 7:29 P.M. The Directors then proceeded to the Board of Directors meet- ing of the Truckee Sanitary District. The Project will also -eliminate the losses currently being experienced from the Deerfield Main. The Project will provide an additional margin of safety when comparing current demand with supply potential, Operation efficiencies will also result from the Project. The Negative Declaration does not speak to the authority for diversion of water to the District 2. The Negative Declaration does not speak to the rare plants within the project area. 3.
