ROLL CALL: Directors Hatch, Huber, Kuttel and Maass were present. Director Sutton was absent. EMPLOYEES PRESENT: A. Milton Seymour and Susan M. Craig. CONSULTANTS PRESENT: District Counsel Grumer and District Engineer Cook were absent. OTHERS PRESENT: There was no one present in the audience. INCREASING SUBSTATION CAPACITY - RESOLUTION APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND CALLING FOR BIDS ON l 20kV TRANSFORMERS AND INTERRUPTER Mr. Seymour noted that Addendum No. 3 prepared by R. W. Beck and As- sociates contained an error. On page 3 of .Part 6, line 4 should read "120,000 -7620 Volts" rather than "60,000 - 7,620 Volts.'' Aside from this, everything appeared in order, he stated. A copy of the Addendum has been attached to these minutes. Director Hatch moved that the Addendum, as proposed by Ken Merriman - Contract No. 1 - power transformers and circuit switchers - which modi- f i es the contract documents to obtain proposals for the l 20kV power trans- formers and l50kV circuit switchers, be approved. The motion was seconded by Director Huber. ROLL CALL: Hatch, aye; Huber, aye; Kuttel , aye; Sutton, absent; Maass, aye. SO MOVED. Director Huber moved that the Board adopt Resolution No. 7906 approving the specifications and calling for bids on 120kV transformers and interrupt- er (circuit switcher) . Director Kuttel seconded the motion. ROLL CALL: Hatch, aye; Huber, aye; Kuttel , aye; Sutton, absent; Maass, aye. SO MOVED. The Board determined that the bids would be opened at 4:00 P.M. on March 12, 1979; the award is to be made on March 19, 1979. BOCA AND PROSSER CREEK POWER PLANTS - FERC APPLICATIONS - AUTHORIZING RESO- LUTIONS r Director Hatch mentioned it was his understanding that the Washoe Ir- rigation District is in the process of purchasing Boca Dam from the Bureau of Reclamation. Brief discussion ensued. Director Kuttel moved that the Board adopt Resolution No. 7907 auth- orizing the President of the Board of Directors to execute and file an ap- plication to the State Water Resources Control Board of the State of Cal- ifornia for the beneficial use of the water stored by and diverted through Boca and Prosser Creek Dams for the purpose of the generation of hydroelec- tric power, and a preliminary application to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for construction of Boca and Prosser Creek power plants, Truckee, California. The motion was seconded by Director Huber. ROLL CALL: Hatch, aye; Huber, aye; Kuttel , aye; Sutton, absent; Maass, aye. SO MOVED. EXECUTIVE SESSION At 4:20 P.M. the President adjourned the meeting to Executive Session for the purpose of discussing legal and personnel matters.
