ROLL CALL: Directors Cooley, Corbett, Hamilton and Maass were present. Director Sutton was absent. CONSULTANTS PRESENT: Counsel John M. Phelps and Architect Dale Cox. EMPLOYERS PRESENT: Peter L. Holzmeister and Susan Craig. OTHERS PRESENT: There were no others present in the audience. REVIEW OF THE BIDDING PROCESS FOR THE NEW DISTRICT COMPLEX AND POSSIBLE EXTENSION OF THE BID OPENING DATE President Maass noted there was some confusion as to the bid opening date for construction of the new District complex. Some District staff members were under the impression that the bid opening was scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on July 23; the contract documents, Mr. Cox advised, call for a bid opening date of July 16. Also, it was reported that F & H Construction called and complained of not having received plans as requested. They were concerned that they would not receive them in time to submit a bid and asked if there was a possibility of the opening being extended. The Chairman noted he talked with a representative of F & H since their first call to the District. They have now received complete plans and specifications and will be able to submit a bid on the 16th. Dale Cox reported that he knew of five contractors who would be submitting bids on July 16. He provided the Board with a planholders list for their information. Counsel Phelps stated that the bidding procedure for the new complex has met all legal requirements , and the Chairman clarified that construction bids would be opened at 2:00 P.M. on July 16. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business before the Board , Director Corbett moved that the meeting be adjourned; seconded and passed unanimously at 7:46 P.M.
