Background
Greenpoint Springs is a high quality wetland
complex that has been altered by water
diversions and the construction of 1-80 .
District acquired GP Springs when it assumed
control of the Donner Lake Water System in
2001 .
District must insure its activities do not adversely
affect water quality and natural resources.
District has and continues to coordinate
restoration activities with the LRWQCB , CDFG
and USACE .

Conclusion
The District has implemented a 3-year program at its
Greenpoint Springs property and is coordinating with the
LRWQCB to restore approximately 8,500 sq. ft. of high
quality wetland habitat.
Potential additional restoration opportunities exist and
could be pursued collaboratively with local and regional
stakeholders to restore approximately 3 acres of high
quality wetland habitat on the north shore of Donner
Lake.
