Subject: Bid Awards for the Prosser Village Production Well and Pump
Development &Testing Program
1. WHY THIS MATTER IS BEFORE THE BOARD
The Board has to approve the awarding of the contracts for the Prosser Village
Production Well and Pump Development &Testing Program.
2. HISTORY
The Board previously authorized staff to advertise for, accept, and open the Prosser
Village Production Well Project and Pump Development & Testing Program with bid
opening dates of September 11, 2003.
3. NEW INFORMATION
On September 11, 2003, Bids were received and opened for both projects. Staff has
totaled and reviewed all bids.
Prosser Village Production Well
One Addenda was issued for the Prosser Village Production Well covering the following
issues:
• Clarification of Item 2 and Item 3 of the Schedule of prices in the Bid Forms and
paragraph insert "Centralizers" to Summary of Work.
A summary of the Bids is given below:

4. RECOMMENDATION
Award the Prosser Village Production Well, as modified by one Addenda prior to the Bid
Opening, to Zim Industries, in the amount of$ 260,130.00 and authorize the transfer of
$ 260,130.00 from the Surplus Land Trust Fund to be paid back by future Facility Fees
to pay for the PROSSER VILLAGE PRODUCTION WELL.
Award the Pump Development& Testing Program to Zim Industries, in the amount of
$ 34,090.00 and authorize the transfer of$ 34,090.00 from the Surplus Land Trust Fund
to be paid back by future Facility Fees to pay for the PUMP VILLAGE PRODUCTION
WELL.
