WHY THIS MATTER IS BEFORE THE BOARD Per District Code, section 8.04.020, all easement abandonment requests must be approved by the Board. 2. HISTORY The District has Public Utility Easements along side of, around and in front of most every parcel within the District. The vast majority of these easements are not utilized by the District and probably never will be. 3. NEW INFORMATION Staff has received two (2) requests for abandonment of easements that the District has some involvement with. Staff has reviewed each of the requests and has determined that we either do not have facilities in that easement, nor does our Master Plan call for any facilities to be constructed within those easements. 4. RECOMMENDATION Consideration of resolutions to request the abandonment of the following two (2) easements. APN 080-300-006 Abandon a portion of a PUE and Easement for Light and Air on Lot 88. APN 16-390-37 & 16-410-28 Lot line adjustment to merger the two properties into one single parcel. in addition to the addition to the merger, the applicant is requesting approval of an easement abandonment to abandon the easements along the common side property line between the two parcels.
