Box 309 Truckee, CA 96160-0309 SUBJECT: STATE REVOLVING FUND APPLICATION ASSISTANCE- REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL AUTHORIZATION FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES Dear Peter: In September, 2002, the District authorized Sauers Engineering, Inc. to provide professional services related to the State Revolving Fund application for the Donner Lake water system. The authorization was on a time and expenses basis with an estimated budget not to exceed $20,000 without further authorization from the District. As of this month's invoice, we have exceeded the estimated budget. This month's invoice exceeds the original authorization by $10,771.83. This includes subconsultant charges for services related to the CEQA environmental review. We are currently in the middle of the CEQA process and there will be additional charges, including subconsultant charges, to complete the review. I would also anticipate additional miscellaneous tasks coordinating with the Department of Health Services in finalizing the SRF contract. I am hereby requesting additional authorization of$20,000 to continue with this project. Thank you for the opportunity to continue providing professional services for assistance with the SRF Funding Application.
