Memorandum
To: Board of Directors
From: Peter Holzmeister
Date: October 14, 2005
Subject: Andregg proposal for survey work at Corporation Yard
Why this matter is before the Board: This matter concerns authorizing a
consultant to perform surrey work at the Site of the proposed new District
Corporation Yard. This matter requires Board action.
History: We have talked several times about development of a new Corporation
yard and the acquisition of property from the Steele Family Trust. I will not spent
time on it again here. It has been our plan to reconfigure the original three
parcels into two parcels so we can build the Corporation Yard on one parcel and
sell the other parcel to generate funds for construction of the Yard.
Two meetings ago we presented for Board consideration and possible action a
proposal from Andregg Geomatics to perform five survey tasks. Various
questions were raised that needed further information before full action could be
taken. The Board approved two of the five proposed tasks and asked that we
have a workshop to discuss in greater detail the proposed reconfiguration of the
three parcels. That workshop discussion occurred at the last Board meeting.
New information: There really I no new information, as such. Attached is the
original Andregg proposal, tasks one and two having already been approved by
the Board. Tasks three, four and five are also needed to move forward with
changing lines
Recommendation: I recommend that the Board approve tasks three, four and
five of the Andregg proposal dated August 30, 2005.
