WHY THIS MATTER IS BEFORE THE BOARD Board approval is required for equipment purchases over $15,000. 2. HISTORY Staff included and the Board approved in the 2005 Electric Department Budget, funding ($111,000)for electric meter purchase and testing. This purchase will be funded by a combination of rates and customer contributions. These meters are used for revenue metering, and will be used primarily for new customer installation. 3. NEW INFORMATION Bids have been opened and publicly read for the District's purchase single phase electronic meters with radio communication modules. Wesco Distribution Inc. submitted a bid that was non-responsive as they did not sign the bid bond or the non-collusion affidavit. The District did however receive two other bids. Attached is a summary schedule of the bid information received. Name Total Price General Pacific $40,800.00 GE Supply $33,840.00 Wesco Distribution, Inc. $30,782.40 4. RECOMMENDATION I recommend the Board approve the purchase of Meters from GE Supply with a total price of $33,840.00.
