Subject: Public hearing Red Mountain Booster Pump Station GEQA
Why this matter is before the board: This matter is a public hearing scheduled
by the board of directors to receive public input regarding an Initial Environmental
Study and proposed Negative Declaration for construction'of new Red Mountain
Booster Pump station.
History: This matter was discussed at the board meeting on May 18. The
project is necessary to complete the comprehensive rehabilitation and
reconstruction of the Donner Lake Water System, It is the District's goal that
once the Donner Lake Water System has been completely rehabilitated, the
District will abandon Donner Lake as a source of domestic water and provide
Water from the District's main system.
The board authorized Inland Ecosystems to conduct the environmental review of
the site. An Initial Environmental'Study and proposed Negative Declaration has
been prepared and circulated to the appropriate agencies.' This public hearing
was advertised in compliance with law.
New information: At this point; the thirty day comment period is ' n progress.
This public hearing is part of the public comment process.' There is no need to
take action on the documents at this time since the thirty day comment period
will not have been completed.
