WHY THIS ITEM IS BEFORE THE BOARD Over the last several years various pieces of computer and office equipment have become broken or obsolete. These pieces of equipment are very old and worn or have been replaced with newer technology. We also have many software licenses that are very outdated. A list of these items is attached. On a separate list are the vehicles and equipment that the electric, water and support services managers have indicated also need to be declared surplus. Only the Board can declare these items as surplus. I have also included a copy of a draft resolution and a copy of the District's surplus policy for your review. RECOMMENDATION: To adopt the attached resolution declaring the items listed on Exhibit A as surplus and authorize the General Manager to dispose of said property in accordance with District policy. CKEE DONNER Public Utility District Resolution No. 2006. Declaring certain computer hardware, software, office equipment, vehicles and equipment as surplus and authorizing staff to dispose of it in accordance with District policy WHEREAS, the District owns computer hardware, software, office equipment,vehicles and equipment listed on the attached as Exhibit A; and WHEREAS, the listed computer hardware, software, office equipment, vehicles and equipment is not necessary for the District's use; and WHEREAS, the District could dispose of the computer hardware, software, office equipment, vehicles and equipment and utilize the funds from the sale of said assets for other purposes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors adopts the above recitals as its findings; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, for the reasons set forth above, the Board declares the computer hardware, software, office equipment, vehicles and equipment listed on Exhibit A attached, as surplus property; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the General Manager is directed to dispose of said property in accordance with District policy.
