Subject: COP Committee Report
1. WHY THIS MATTER IS BEFORE THE BOARD
The Board of Directors requested that a committee be established to monitor the
projects and disbursements of funds related to the 2006 COP.
2. HISTORY
The 2006 COP was established in September of 2006. The purpose of this COP is to
fund various District projects, including the District Pipeline Replacement projects.
This plan is prepared under the guidelines of the District's Objective #1 — (Provide an
adequate, reliable, and high quality water supply and distribution system to meet current
and future needs.) and Goal # 1.2 (Maintain and implement a current Water master
Plan, including the required facilities to meet current and future demand and supply.)
and Goal # 1.4 (Provide effective and efficient maintenance and replacement
programs.)
3. NEW INFORMATION
A committee was established to discuss the funding and progress of projects. The first
committee meeting was Tuesday, September 11 at 6 pm. In attendance were Bill
Thomason, Pat Setter, Neil Kaufman and myself.
The following is a list of the items discussed (see attachments):
• Funding to-date
• Completed projects to-date
• Future funding
• Future priority projects
• Staff evaluation of leak issues & possible changes in priority
• Proposed projects for 2008 (map & list)

This is a workshop item.
