AMOU7 --I E74 Memorandum To: Board of Directors From: Ed Taylor Date: August 1, 2007 Date of Board Meeting: August 1, 2007 Subject: Informational Items related to Prosser Dam Road Wells 1. Gray's Crossing Golf Course a. Gray's Crossing does NOT have any water source wells. b. All water for the Gray's Crossing golf course comes from TDPUD main water system. c. Gray's Crossing does have 3 wells (25 feet in depth) to monitor the amount of fertilizers in the ground. 2. TDPUD Source - Prosser Village Well a. The closest TDPUD water supply well to the Prosser Dam Road area is the Prosser Village Well, located off the Prosser Village exit (now the Overland Trail exit) in the Old Greenwood subdivision. This well is over 4,000 feet (314 of a mile) from the residents on Prosser Dam Road. b. The Prosser Village Well is sealed with concrete at a depth of 300 feet for 2 primary reasons. The first reason is to protect the water source from surface contamination per State requirements. The second reason is to assure that the well does not extract water from the upper aquifer. c. The upper aquifer is considered a low yield aquifer and is not conducive for municipal supplies. d. The TDPUD continually monitors the draw down on all production wells. The draw down of the Prosser Village Well has not changed since first put into service in 2002. 3. Prosser Dam Road Residential Wells. a. These residential wells are between 100 to 150 feet deep.
