Subject: BID AWARD FOR PURCHASE OF PIPING MATERIALS FOR THE ALDER DRIVE PUMP
STATION &THE SIERRA MEADOWS PUMP STATION
1. WHY THIS MATTER IS BEFORE THE BOARD
Board approval is required for equipment purchases over $15,000.
2. BACKGROUND
The District is in the process of building the Alder Drive Pump Station & the Sierra Meadows Pump
Station. The purchase of pumps and motors was brought to the board and approved on May 16, 2007
for the Pump Stations. The purchase of electrical equipment for the meter/main and motor control
panel which will control the pump stations was brought to the board and approved on May 16, 2007.
The piping materials are required to connect the Alder Drive Pump Station & the Sierra Meadows Pump
Station to the main water system. This is a routine material purchase to complete this project.
3. NEW INFORMATION
Bids were received, opened and publicly read for the District's purchase of Piping Materials for the
Alder Drive Pump Station & the Sierra Meadows Pump Station on May 24, 2007. The District received
three bids, all of which included the required paperwork. Below is a summary schedule of the bid
information received:

4. RECOMMENDATION
I recommend that the Board award the contract for the Piping Materials for the Alder Drive Pump
Station & the Sierra Meadows Pump Station in the amount of$ 45,450.68 to Ferguson Enterprises and
authorize the transfer of funds from Facility Fees.
