WHY THIS MATTER IS BEFORE THE BOARD Board approval is required for equipment purchases over $15,000. 2. BACKGROUND The District has two projects that require new electrical motor control centers. These projects are Alder Drive Pump Station and the Sierra Meadows Pump Station. The funding for the Alder Drive Pump Station and the Sierra Meadows Pump Station comes from facilities fees. 3. NEW INFORMATION Bids have been opened and publicly read for the District's purchase of Electrical Equipment for the Alder Drive Pump Station and the Sierra Meadows Pump Stations. The District received one bid, which included the required paperwork. Below is a summary of the bid information received: Bidder Name Description Total Price per Pump Station WEDCO inc. Switchgear and Motor Control Center for the control of (3) 40 HP Pump Motors for the Alder Drive Pump Station $ 22,651.00 Switchgear and Motor Control Center for the control of (3) 40 HP Pump Motors for the Sierra Meadows Pump $ 22,651.00 Station 4. RECOMMENDATION I recommend that the Board award the contract for the Electrical Equipment for the Alder Drive Pump Station & the Sierra Meadows Pump Station in the amount of $45,302.00 (not including tax) to WEDCO Inc. and authorize the payment from the Electric Department's Public Benefits Program.
