Memorandum
To: Board of Directors
From: Peter Holzmeister
Date: December 1, 2006
Subject: Oath of office for new directors
Why this matter is before the board: After each election, at the first December
meeting of the board, it has been our custom to ceremoniously administer the
oath of office to directors beginning a new term.
History: Attached for your review is the form of oath set forth in statute. We
have not yet received the notice from the Nevada and Placer Counties certifying
the election results. That certification is important because it is the official
determination of the election results. I hope we receive the certification by
Wednesday evening. If we do not receive them, we will need to postpone this
item.
Recommendation: I recommend that the oath of office be administered to Pat
Sutton, provided the certifications arrive. Ron Hemig will not be at the meeting,
so we will administer his oath at another time.
