Wright, Interim General Manager/ Water Utility Director RECOMMENDATION: Appoint the Interim General Manager, Brian Wright; and District Clerk, Shanna Kuhlemier as the District’s negotiators concerning Nevada County APN’s 19-300-16, 19-300-17 and 45-750-13. Entity: Town of Truckee and Mark Lowenstern, respectively. BACKGROUND: The District owns multiple properties across our service territory. In the last couple of years, the District has surplused and sold properties that were no longer required in the portfolio. Two parcels were sold to Sierra College, which were located adjacent to the college. A parcel on Rocky Lane was sold to the adjacent property owners. Staff has recently identified additional parcels that may be potentially sold. The District owns two parcels in the Hilltop area, assessor parcel number’s 19-300-16 and 19-300-17. These parcels were acquired through the Green Water acquisition. Furthermore the Town of Truckee over the last few years has been designing a trail, which potentially would cross these parcels. Additionally, the District holds parcel number 45-750-13, acquired through the Tahoe Donner Development. To commence negotiations the District must appoint the negotiators. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no material fiscal impact associated with this item. ATTACHMENTS: None.
