May 03, 2017 Subject: Consideration of Approval of Cost for the Mutual Aid Received During Storm Events of January 2017 1. WHY THIS MATTER IS BEFORE THE BOARD Board approval is required for procurements in excess of $15,000. 2. HISTORY At the January 19, 2017 Board meeting, staff reviewed the January 4tn thru January 18t" storm events. The workshop included a review of the mutual aid the District received from City of Roseville and Plumas-Sierra Rural Electric to assist in electric service restoral District wide. 3. NEW INFORMATION The invoices for the mutual aid in accordance with our mutual aid contract with California Utilities Emergency Association have been received, reviewed and approved by staff. Both utilities invoices are for reimbursement of labor, materials and equipment. The City of Roseville's invoice is for $63,111.31 for the period of January 11, 2017 thru January 16, 2017. Plumas-Sierra Rural Electric Cooperative's invoice is for $68,864.74 for the period of January 13, 2017 thru January 16, 2017. 4. FISCAL IMPACT The fiscal impact of these invoices is a total of $131,976.05. Sufficient funds exist in the Electric General Fund. Additionally, per the Board's direction on March 1 2017 to pursue any available emergency relief funding, staff has applied for recovery of funds with the California Office of Emergency Services and the Federal Emergency Management Agency, 5. RECOMMENDATION Authorize the General Manager to approve the following invoices for payment for mutual aid assistance received during the January storms: 1.
