Home My WebLink About7 Wilson commendationendaItem#7TTRUCKEEDONNERIPubIicUtilityDistrijSPECIALBUSINESSTo:BoardofDirectorsFrom:JoeHorvathDate:January16,2019Subject:ConsiderationtoAdoptResolution2019-01CommendingJimWilsonforHisManyYearsofService1.WHYTHISMATTERISBEFORETHEBOARDThismatterinvolvesconsiderationofResolution2019-01(Attachment1)recognizingJimWilsonforhismanyyearsofservicetotheDistrictontheoccasionofhisretirement.2.HISTORYJim’selectriccareerstartedinthefoodprocessingindustryin1980.In1983hestartedworkingfortheUniversityofCaliforniaDavis(UCD),whereheservedintheUCDElectricDepartmentfor10years.JimwashiredbytheDistrictinDecember,1993asanElectrician.Heworked3yearsfortheDistrictbeforejoiningalocalcontractorinMay,1996.Afterworkingfor3years,JimwasrehiredbytheDistrictinJuly,1999astheElectricalSuperintendent.Inalmost23yearsoftotalservicetotheDistrict,Jim,byhisknowledgeandcommitmenttosafety,hasearnedtherespect,admiration,andloyaltyofelectriccrewpersonnelandhispeers.Heisgenerouswithhistimeandknowledge,activelyhelpingotherstorisetotheirpotentialandsucceedintheirworkattheDistrict.3.NEWINFORMATIONDuringJim’salmost23yearsofemploymentattheDistrict,hehas:.Demonstratedasuperiorworkethic;.Earnedtherespectandadmirationofhisfellowemployeesandtheelectriccrewpersonnel;and.Hisadvicehasbeenvaluedbystaffthroughouthiscareer.Staffdescribehimasdedicated,genuine,knowledgeableandsupportive.Furthermore,staffwishesJimtheverybestinretirement.4.FISCALIMPACTThereisnofiscalimpactassociatedwiththisagendaitem.5.RECOMMENDATIONAdoptResolution2019-01recognizingJimWilsonforhismanyyearsofservice.frzJoeHorvathMichaelD.HolleyElectricUtilityDirectorGeneralManager FTRUCKEEDONNERdPubhcUtilityDistrictResolutionNo.2019-01_______________CommendingJimWilsonforHisManyYearsofServiceWHEREASJimWilsonhasbeenanemployeeoftheDistrictfromDecember,1993untilMay,1996andcontinuouslysinceJuly,1999;andWHEREAS,duringhistenureofemploymentattheDistrict,JimhasbeenaninvaluableassettotheDistrict,itscustomers,andthecommunity;andWHERASJimhassuccessfullyheldthepositionofElectricianfor2.5yearsandElectricSuperintendentformorethan20yearsofhiscareerattheDistrict;andWHEREAS,Jimishelpful,dedicatedandhasapositivedisposition;andWHEREAS,JimhasbeenatrustedmemberoftheDistrictandhisadvicehasbeenvaluedbystaffthroughouthiscareer;andWHEREAS,Jim’sethicalbehavioranddependabilityhasestablishedastandardthatwillguideDistrictstaffforyearstocome;andWHEREAS,JimhascontributedtothesuccessoftheDistrictinmanyways;andWHEREAS,JimhasearnedtherespectanddeepadmirationoffellowemployeesandoftheBoard;andWHEREAS,JimhasannouncedhisretirementtobeeffectiveonJanuary31,2019;andWHEREAS,JimwillbedearlymissedasaleaderandfriendtotheDistrict;andWHEREAS,theBoardofDirectorswishestoexpressitsappreciationandgratitudefortheperformanceofJimWilsonandforhismanyyearsofservicetotheDistrictandourcustomers.NOWTHEREFOREBEITRESOLVEDBYTHEBOARDOFDIRECTORSOFTHEDISTRICTTHAT:.JimWilsonhasthebestofluckandhappinessinhisretirement;and.JimWilsonbecommendedforhisinvaluablecontributiontothesuccessoftheDistrict,forhisexceptionalservicewhichstandsasamodelforotherstoemulateandforthefriendshipwecontinuetosharewithhim.PASSEDANDADOPTEDbytheBoardofDirectorsatameetingdulycalledandheldwithintheDistrictonthesixteenthdayofJanuary,2019bythefollowingrollcallvote:AYES:NOES:ABSENT:TRUCKEEDONNERPUBLICUTILITYDISTRICTBobEllis,PresidentATTEST:ShannaD.Kuhlemier,CMC,DistrictClerk
