HomeMy WebLinkAbout11 Reorganization and Salary Range Adjustments of Administrative ServicesAgendaItem#11TRUCKEEDONNER.PublicUtilityDistrictCONSENTTo:BoardofDirectorsFrom:BrandonPerryDate:June05,2019Subject:ConsiderationofReorganizationandSalaryRangeAdjustmentsofAdministrativeServices1.WHYTHISMATTERISBEFORETHEBOARDTheBoardapprovesemployeewagerangesfortheDistrict.2.HISTORYTheAdministrativeServiceDirectorpositionhasrecentlybeenvacated.Therehavebeenfouremployeesinthatpositionwithinthelast10years.3.NEWINFORMATIONInresponsetothisvacancy,theDistricthasidentifiedaneedtoreorganizetheAdministrativeServicesDepartmentandre-distributesomeofthedutiesandresponsibilitiesofthatseniormanagementpositiontobetterservetheDistrictanditscustomers.TheAdministrativeServicesDirector(ASD)positionhaddirectresponsibilityforCustomerServices,Billing,Conservation,HumanResources,andAccountingandFinance.Re-distributingthedutiesandresponsibilitiesoftheASDwillallowasmoothtransitioninmaintainingconsistentstaffingandpromotingfromwithintheDistrict.Thenewpositions,HumanResourcesandBusinessOperationsManagerandFinancingandAccountingManagerwillbothreportdirectlytotheGeneralManager.BrandonPerrywillbepromotedtoHumanResourcesandBusinessOperationsManager.HisadditionaldutieswillincludedirectresponsibilityforCustomerServices,Billing,andConservation.ReginaWise,FinancingandAccountingManager,willbepromotedandassumeadditionaldutiesincludingdirectresponsibilityforPurchasing,Warehouse,NewConstruction,WorkOrders,andallaspectsoftheFinanceandAccountingdepartments.
4.FISCALIMPACTThepositionsHumanResourcesandBusinessOperationsManager,andFinancingandAccountingManagerwillmovetosalaryrangeM46.TheHumanResourcesIRiskManagerpositioniscurrentlyatrangeM39andtheFinancingandAccountingManagerpositioniscurrentlyatrangeM41.SavingstotheDistrictwillbeapproximately$250,000.00.5.RECOMMENDATIONAccepttheproposedreorganizationandrestructure,includingsalaryrangechanges,aspresented._t,-_fl1—,zBrandonPerryMichaelD.HolleyHumanResourceIRiskManagerGeneralManager
