Home My WebLink About13 Sepcial Tax Old Greenwood and Gray's Crossing CFD'sAqendaItem#I13TRUCKEEDONNER-PublicUtilityDistrictCONSENTTo:BoardofDirectorsFrom:ReginaWiseDate:June05,2019Subject:ConsiderationofAnnualResolutionsforSpecialTax:OldGreenwoodandGray’sCrossingCommunitiesFacilitiesDistricts1.WHYTHISMATTERISBEFORETHEBOARDThisitemconcernsrequestingNevadaCountytocollectspecialtaxesintheOldGreenwoodNo.03-1andGray’sCrossingNo.04-1CommunitiesFacilitiesDistrictsbytheadoptionofstandardresolutions.2.HISTORYResolutionNo.9723adoptedonNovember5,1997authorizedtheexecutionofastandardformtaxcollectionservicescontractonbehalfoftheDistrictwiththeCountyofNevada.ThecontractstatesthattheDistrictmustadoptanannualresolutionrequestingplacementofspecialtaxes,specialassessmentsand/orparcelchargesontheCountyofNevadataxrolls.ThelistsarecurrentlyinpreliminaryformonlyandareavailableintheAdministrativeServicesDepartment.FinallistswillbeonrecordwithNevadaCountyandtheDistrict’sAdministrativeServicesDepartment.OnOctober14,2003,theDistrictadoptedOrdinanceNo.2003-04,authorizingthelevyofaspecialtaxwithintheOldGreenwoodCommunityFacilitiesDistrictNo.03-1.OnJuly21,2004,theDistrictadoptedOrdinanceNo.2004-02,authorizingthelevyofaspecialtaxwithintheGray’sCrossingCommunityFacilitiesDistrictNo.04-1.OnJanuary15,2014,theBoardauthorizedtheDistricttorefinancethebondsofOldGreenwoodCommunityFacilitiesDistrictNo.03-1,savingtheOldGreenwoodpropertyownersover$3millionoverthetermofthebondendingin2032atnocosttotheTDPUD.3.NEWINFORMATIONThismattercomesbeforetheBoardeachyear.TheDistrictutilizesNevadaCountytocollectspecialtaxesaslineitemsontheannualpropertytaxbills.Attachment1isResolution2019-15forOldGreenwoodCommunityFacilities.
