AqendaItem#316TRUCKEEDONNERPublicUtilityDistrictACTIONTo:BoardofDirectorsFrom:BrandonPerryDate:June05,2019Subject:ConsiderationtoAdoptResolution2019-10MemorializingtheDistrict’sValues1.WHYTHISMATTERISBEFORETHEBOARDTheExecutiveLeadershipTeamhavecreatedValuesguidingdaytodaydecisionswithintheworkplace.Boardapprovalisnecessarytomemorializethesevalues.2.HISTORYTheExecutiveLeadershipteammetmanytimestoagreeonvaluesandavaluesstatementrepresentativeoftheDistrictandinagreementwiththeDistrict’sMissionStatement.TheDistrict’sMissionStatementis:TheMissionofTruckeeDonnerPUDistoprovidereliable,highqualitywaterandelectricalpowerserviceswhilemeetingcustomerdemand,andtomanageDistrictresourcesinasafe,open,responsible,environmentallysoundmanneratthelowestpracticalcost.3.NEWINFORMATIONTheExecutiveLeadershipTeamchoosethesefivecorevaluesbecausetheyarealreadyingrainedinthecultureoftheDistrict.ThesevaluesarerootedintheDistrict’smission.Theyconsiderpastandpresent,anddrawonthestrengthsandcharacterqualitiesexhibitedbyallDistrictemployees.Thesevalueswillcontinuetoleadusintothefuture.TheValuesoftheDistrictare:Accountability-OwnitAstrongperformingteamwithanobligationandwillingnesstoacceptresponsibilityforouraction,maintainingasenseofhumilityandinclusiveness.
