Holley Date: March 04, 2009 Subject: Hold Public Hearing for Consideration of an Ordinance Increasing the Salary of the General Manager 1. WHY THIS MATTER IS BEFORE THE BOARD This matter concerns setting the salary for the General Manager. State law requires that the salary of General Manager be done by ordinance after a public hearing. 2. HISTORY A date for the public hearing was scheduled at the February 18, 2009 regular board meeting. 3. NEW INFORMATION A public hearing to consider an ordinance increasing the salary of General Manager has been advertised in the Sierra Sun. After the conclusion of the public hearing, there is an action item for the Board to adopt an ordinance setting a salary for the General Manager. 4. FISCAL IMPACT There is no direct fiscal impact with this public hearing. 5. RECOMMENDATION Conduct the public hearing and receive comment. Michael D.
