HomeMy WebLinkAbout10 Pole Replacement SCADA Project Notice of CompletionAgendaItem#10.*TRUCKEEDONNERPublicUtilityDistrictACTIONTo:BoardofDirectorsFrom:TrishaRubyDate:January15,2020Subject:ConsideratIonofAdoptingResolution2020-02toFileaNoticeofCompletionforthePoleReplacementforSCADAProject20191.WHYTHISMATTERISBEFORETHEBOARDItistheBoard’spurviewtoapproveprojectcompletion,adoptDistrictResolutions,andadjustContractAuthorizations.2.HISTORYinApril,2019theDistrictpubliclyadvertisedarequestforbidsforthePoleReplacementforSCADA2019Project.AttheJune5,2019meeting,theBoardauthorizedacontractwith1WPowerLineConstruction(1W)intheamountof$618,434plusa10%changeorderauthorizationof$61,843foratotalnottoexceedcontractamountof$680,277.Theprojectincludedrepiacementof41polesandinstallationof3newpoles.Thescopeofworkincluded:removal,replacement,installation,anddisposalofpoles,associatedcomponentsandhardware;andtransferofexistingequipment.3.NEWINFORMATIONInearlyOctober,staffperformedafinalwalkthroughontheproject.TheworkperformediscompleteandshouldbeacceptedbytheDistrict.Attachedisadraftresolution(Attachment1)acceptingtheprojectanddirectingstafftofileaNoticeofCompletion.Attachment2showstheanalysisofbidtoactualquantitiesinstalled.Thecostfortheoriginalscopeofworkwas$554,839.50.Duringthecourseoftheproject,fivechangeorderrequestswerereceivedandreviewedbystaff.Thesechangeorderrequestsinvolved:.Riserconduitmodificationsandrebuilds;.DelayofworkduetoDistrictoperations;.Installationandremovaloftemporaryfacilities;
