Home My WebLink About12 Annual Resolutions for Special Tax-Old Greenwood & Grays CFDsAgendaItem#I12.,TRUCKEEDONNERPublicUtilityDistrictCONSENTTo:BoardofDirectorsFrom:ReginaWiseDate:March04,2020Subject:ConsiderationofAnnualResolutionsforSpecialTax:OldGreenwoodandGray’sCrossingCommunitiesFacilitiesDistricts1.WHYTHISMATTERISBEFORETHEBOARDThisitemconcernsrequestingNevadaCountytocollectspecialtaxesintheOldGreenwoodNo.03-1andGray’sCrossingNo.04-1CommunitiesFacilitiesDistrictsbytheadoptionofstandardresolutions.2.HISTORYResolutionNo.9723adoptedonNovember5,1997authorizedtheexecutionofastandardformtaxcollectionservicescontractonbehalfoftheDistrictwiththeCountyofNevada.ThecontractstatesthattheDistrictmustadoptanannualresolutionrequestingplacementofspecialtaxes,specialassessmentsand/orparcelchargesontheCountyofNevadataxrolls.ThelistsarecurrentlyinpreliminaryformonlyandareavailableintheAdministrativeServicesDepartment.FinallistswillbeonrecordwithNevadaCountyandtheDistrict’sAdministrativeServicesDepartment.OnOctober14,2003,theDistrictadoptedOrdinanceNo.2003-04,authorizingthelevyofaspecialtaxwithintheOldGreenwoodCommunityFacilitiesDistrictNo.03-1.OnJuly21,2004,theDistrictadoptedOrdinanceNo.2004-02,authorizingthelevyofaspecialtaxwithintheGray’sCrossingCommunityFacilitiesDistrictNo.04-1.OnJanuary15,2014,theBoardauthorizedtheDistricttorefinancethebondsofOldGreenwoodCommunityFacilitiesDistrictNo.03-1,savingtheOldGreenwoodpropertyownersover$3millionoverthetermofthebondendingin2032atnocosttotheTDPUD.3.NEWINFORMATIONThismattercomesbeforetheBoardeachyear.TheDistrictutilizesNevadaCountytocollectspecialtaxesaslineitemsontheannualpropertytaxbills.Attachment1isResolution2020-05forOldGreenwoodCommunityFacilitiesDistrictNo.03-1authorizingNevadaCountytocollectthespecialtaxforthefiscalyear2020-2021taxroll.
