Home My WebLink AboutRES 2020-07 - Board[TRUCKEEDONNER_PublicUtilityDistrictResolutionNo.2020-07FixingandPlacingDonnerLakeAssessmentDistrictAnnualChargesonDistrictTaxRollforCollectionbytheCountyofNevadaWHEREAS,theTruckeeDonnerPublicUtilityDistrictonMay2,2001adoptedResolutionNo.2001-09makingdeterminations,confirmingassessmentsandproceedings,orderingtheacquisitionandconstructionofimprovementsandtakingcertainotheractionsrelatingtoDonnerLakeWaterAssessmentDistrictNo.00-1;andWHEREAS,byResolutionNo.9723adoptedNovember5,1997,theBoardofDirectorsoftheTruckeeDonnerPublicUtilityDistrictapprovedexecutionofacontinuousStandardFormTaxCollectionServicesContractwiththeCountyofNevada;andWHEREAS,theDistricthasnowdeterminedthelandsaffectedtherebyandthechargestobeassessed,leviedandcollectedonthelandsandparcels;andWHEREAS,theassessmentsoneachparcelshallbebilledonthesecuredtaxrollbillsforthefiscalyear2020-2021.NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDbytheBoardofDirectorsoftheTruckeeDonnerPublicUtilityDistrictasfollows:1.ThattheBoardofSupervisorsoftheCountyofNevada,StateofCalifornia,levytheDonnerLakeAssessmentDistrictchargesagainsttheparcelsandownersofrecordlistedonthecomputeritemizationofparcelskeptandmaintainedintheAdministrativeServicesDepartmentoftheDistrictandmadeaparthereofbyreference,andthattheCountyAuditorandTaxCollectorbeinstructedtolevyandcollectsaidchargesinthesamemannerasCountytaxesasbylawandinsaidordinanceprovided.UponcompletionandcorrectionofthecurrentlistthroughJune30,2020,acopywillbeforwardedtotheAuditorControlleroftheCounty.2.TheDistrictwarrantsandrepresentsthatchargesimposedbytheDistrictandbeingrequestedtobecollectedbyNevadaCountycomplywithallrequirementsofstatelaw,includingbutnotlimitedtoArticlesXIIICandXIIIDoftheCaliforniaConstitution(Proposition218).1 3.ThatacertifiedcopyofthisresolutionbeforwardedtotheCountyAuditoroftheCountyofNevada.PASSEDANDADOPTEDbytheBoardofDirectorsoftheTruckeeDonnerPublicUtilityDistrictatameetingheldwithinsaidDistrictonMarch4,2020bythefollowingrollcallvote:AYES:Directors:Laliotis,Ellis,VicePresidentFinn,andPresidentBenderNOES:ABSENT:DirectorAgueraTRUCKEEDONNERPUBLiCUTILITYDISTRICTByJeffBeMr,identAEST:hannaD.Kuhiemier,CMC,DistrictClerk2
