Home My WebLink AboutRES 2018-12 - Board‘TRUCKEEDONNERPub’icUtilityDistnctResolutionNo.2018-12FixingandPlacingaSpecialTaxLevyonCommunityFacilitiesDistrictNo.03-1(OldGreenwood)forCollectionbytheCountyofNevadaWHEREAS,onOctober14,2003,theBoardofDirectorsoftheTruckeeDonnerPublicUtilityDistrictdulyadoptedOrdinanceNo.2003-04,authorizingthelevyofaspecialtaxwithinsaidCommunityFacilitiesDistrictNo.03-1(OldGreenwood)andprovidingameansforcollectionthereof;andWHEREAS,byResolutionNo.9723adoptedNovember5,1997,theBoardofDirectorsoftheTruckeeDonnerPublicUtilityDistrictapprovedexecutionofacontinuousStandardFormTaxCollectionServicesContractwiththeCountyOfNevada;andWHEREAS,theDistricthasnowdeterminedthelandsaffectedtherebyandthechargestobeassessed,leviedandcollectedonthelandsandparcels;andWHEREAS,thetaxesoneachparcelshallbebilledonthesecuredtaxrollbillsforthefiscalyear2018-2019.NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDbytheBoardofDirectorsoftheTruckeeDonnerPublicUtilityDistrictasfollows:I.ThattheBoardofSupervisorsofthCountyofNevada,StateofCalifornia,levyaspecialtaxagainsttheparcelsahdownersofrecordlistedonthecomputeritemizationofparcelskeptandmaintainedintheAdministrativeServicesDepartmentoftheDistrictandmadeaparthereofbyreference,andthattheCountyAuditorandTaxCollectorbeinstructedtolevyandcollectsaidchargesinthesamemannerasCountytaxesasbylawandinsaidordinanceprovided.UponcompletionandcorrectionofthecurrentlistthroughJune30,2018,acopywillbeforwardedtotheAuditorControlleroftheCounty.2.TheDistrictwarrantsandrepresentsthatchargesimposedbytheDistrictandbeingrequestedtobecollectedbyNevadaCountycomplywithallrequirementsofstatelaw,includingbutnotIimitdtoArticlesXlllCandXIIIDoftheCaliforniaConstitution(Proposition218).1 3.ThatacertifiedcopyofthisresolullionbeforwardedtotheCountyAuditoroftheCountyofNevada.PASSEDANDADOPTEDbytheBoardofDirectorsoftheTruckeeDonnerPublicUtilityDistrictatameetingheldwithinsaidDistrictonJune6,2018bythefollowingrollcallvote:AYES:Directors:Aguera,Ellis,gender,VicePresidentWarmerdam,andPresidentLaliotis.NOES:None.ABSENT:None.TRUCKEEDONNERPUBLICUTILITiDISTRICTByTonyLaliotis,PresidentATTEST:I17ShannaD.Kuhlemier,CMC,DistrictClerk2
