WHY THIS MATTER IS BEFORE THE BOARD The SCADA Reliability Improvement Project - 2011 is complete. A closeout change order and a resolution accepting the project as complete require Board approval. 2. HISTORY This project involved the installation of fiber optic cable and equipment in existing counduits and boxes from the main office to Truckee Substation, Martis Valley Substation, Glenshire Drive Well and Old Greenwood Well. At that time, the Board also authorized a change order allowance of $28,000 (10%). 3. Two change orders were required; the first (Attachment 1) authorized an extension of the Milestone Dates and the second (Attachment 2) reconciles bid vs. actual quantity differences associated with project closeout. A summary of bid vs. actual quantities is shown on Attachment 3. District staff has performed a final inspection of the project and has determined that the project is complete. A draft resolution accepting the project as complete and directing the Notice of Completion be filed is attached as Attachment 4. 4. FISCAL IMPACT Sufficient funds for this project exist in the FY11 District capital budget. Project benefits will accrue to the Electric and Water departments, therefore it is proposed to split costs equally between the departments. :7xd7►il►ill7_[71 Adopt a resolution accepting the SCADA Reliability Improvement Project - 2011 as complete and authorize the filing of the Notice of Completion. -*6 446/L Stephen Hollabaugh Assistant General Manager Michael D.
