APPOINTING JAMES M. WARD GENERAL MANAGER
AND
ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION IN COMPLIANCE WITH
SECTION 16112 Of TIE PUBLIC UTILITIES CODE
WHEREAS, Section 16112 of the Public Utilities Code provides that the
officers, other than the Board of Directors, shall be appointed by the Board,
hold office at its pleasure, and receive such compensation as is provided for
by the Board by ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Truckee Donner Public Utility District is in need of a
General Manager to administer its affairs; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has made a thorough evaluation of James
M. Ward and determined that his education, experience and knowledge qualify
him to fill the position of General Manager;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee
Donner Public Utility District as follows:
1. That James M. Ward be appointed as the permanent General
Manager of the Truckee Donner Public Utility District
retroactively as of July 1, 1982.
2. That James M. Ward receive compensation as itemized:
a) Salary in the amount of $35,000 annually.
b) Pension benefits, health plan benefits, long-
term disability benefits, three weeks vacation
annually, sick leave and holidays as outlined
in the IBEW Memorandum of Understanding, and
any other benefits required by law or contract
entered into by the Board.
3. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days from the date of
adoption hereof.
4. The Deputy District Clerk of the District shall immediately cause
a copy of this Ordinance to be published once in the local news-
paper and copies posted in at least three public places within the
District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Truckee Donner Public
Utility District at a meeting held within said District on the 19th day of
July , 1982, by the following roll call vote:

AYES: Corbett, Huber, Kuttel, VanLandingham and Maass.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
