There are approximately 135 miles of overhead electric distribution facilities in the District's

general public, reduction of fire risks due to tree contacts or electrical sparks igniting brush,
the prevention of customer outages due to tree contacts, and aesthetics.
The Bid period for tree trimming services began on February 27, 2009 and ended on March 3,
2009. The District received 2 bids by the deadline from Asplundh and Loggers Unlimited.
