I am writing this letter to inform you of my interest and intent to apply for the vacant position on the current Board of Directors. I have been a Truckee resident for 14 years. My wife Tammi and I have raised 4 daughters who all reside in Truckee. I am a member of the Sunrise Rotary Club and immediate past president. I am a member of the Contractor's Assoc. 'CATT' where I have held different positions. My family and I are members of Sierra Bible Church where we have all been involved in different capacities over the years. I recently stepped down as Chairman of the Deacon Board (at church) of which I was a member for 11 years. I have also been heavily involved in other aspects of the community including a run for Town Council in 08'. 1 have been a California licensed contractor since 1976 and hold the classifications of'B-General, C36- Plumbing and C-27 landscape. I am also licensed in real estate, but no longer work actively in it. One of the common threads of my above experience is learning to negotiate with people and finding solutions to problems. I have sat on many boards and committees over the years and have learned to win the bottle without loosing the war. I get along well with others and feel I would be an asset to the PUD Board, it's staff and the community. Please find attached a few letters from friends that support me in this effort. I have known Jaime for over I I years as he has provided plumbing and gas line installation services for me several times. His work has been exceptional, paying attention to every detail and safety concerns. His attitude has always been nothing less than professional, taking time to explain every concern I have had. As a previous employee of the TDPUD I have had several occasions to speak with Jaime concerning work in progress for his customers and his concern for excellent service for them in conjunction with meeting TDPUD guidelines for such work. I've observed Jaime over the years through his volunteering with various Truckee organizations, always concerned with issues affecting Truckee's citizens. I believe the Board of Directors for the TDPUD would definitely benefit from Jaime's expertise in his field of work and his concern for the betterment of Truckee and the ratepayers of the TDPUD.
