HomeMy WebLinkAbout#15 Kathy's report To: Board of Directors From: Kathy Neus, Support Services Manager Date: January 12, 2001 Monthly Activity Report Purchasing and Warehousing With the holidays and many people off, Sam and Sue were able to complete all inventory cycle counts for the year 2000. Inventory is very time consuming, and it goes much smoother when there are few, if any, interruptions. It has been another very busy year; if there was a slow down it passed by without anyone noticing. Sue continues to order material and supplies. Sam is creatively storing these materials and supplies in the yard and warehouse. NISC was here in December with follow-up training. Sue used this time to get a few more kinks worked out of the inventory and purchasing programs. Meter Reading st The meter readers had quite a few services for December 1, 147 for the day. The meter readers are current in their reading. When they do fall behind it is not that hard to catch up, thanks to the OMR meters. Vehicle Maintenance Things are running smoothly here. Chris has all the vehicles on a maintenance schedule and the crews work with Chris on the schedule as to when he can get the vehicles and equipment. Glen continues to do all the trucks in the BIT program. This is a great learning experience for Chris. He has never worked on booms before and Glen is a willing teacher. Building and Grounds Not a whole lot to report. The Town has completely moved out. There is now adequate parking for PUD staff. The yard is cleaned and awaiting the arrival of winter.
