Why this matter is before the board: Board Authorization is required to award a contract for construction. 2. History: One of the remaining issues at Donner Lake involves pavement restoration of four streets: Cedar Point Drive, Devil's Peak Road, Mt. Judah Drive and Red Mountain Road. Per the encroachment permits issued by Placer County and the Town of Truckee, the District is responsible for a pavement overlay on these streets. On July 19, 2006, the Board previously authorized staff to advertise for construction of the Donner Lake Paving- 2006 project. The funding source for this project is the Donner Lake Assessment District and the $6.65 monthly surcharge approved by the Board at the July 13, 2006 Special Meeting. 3. New information: On August 8, bids were received and opened. No addenda were issued for this project. Recommendation: 1) The Board of Directors award the Donner Lake Paving - 2006 project to Teichert Construction, in the amount of$97,670.00. 2) The Board of Directors authorize the transfer of monies from the Donner Lake Surcharge Fund to the Water Department General Fund to pay for the project.
