The ski leases are being scheduled for disconnect. BILLING: Billing is current. 4 Attached is a list of the current bad debts and a comparison of the last ten years. This list represents closed accounts with unpaid balances that were over six months old as of 12131/97. The total amount of the write-offs is $7,916.40. During the last six months we have received S597.90 in recoveries. The total billings for the year were S12,268,015.60. The amount being written off represents ,06% (0006) of the total amount billed There were seven bankruptcies in the group representing 30% of the total amount being written off ACCOUNTING: Accounts payable and payroll are current. Several of us are spending our time in preparing for the audit. COMPUTER OPERATIONS: Last week, we installed a firewall on the District's network. The firewall is a software program that runs on a stand-alone personal computer. The program encrypts and encapsulates all outgoing activity. It only allows authorized incoming activity. Our goal is to have all Internet activity go through the firewall. We still have a direct modem connection with Sierra West Bank to do electronic transfers. Also, there are two phone lines to the electric SCADA system that are used by NCPA and Quindar to do maintenance and upgrades. We are now able to be online with OrCom over the Internet. This method will cut down on our phone charges when we do system upgrades and troubleshooting. r OTHER: We have updated the specifications for our insurance renewal. The renewal package will be presented at the April 15"h meeting. We have all been working on preparing updated job descriptions and job descriptions by objectives for the rest of the year. Most of my time has been taken up working to prepare for the annual audit and working on miscellaneous network issues. 0298MOL Y.RPT A pF Z d f 4 f . .....................
